(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Aunt Luo is a typical Chinese farmer. Her family is poor; but she would always go and visit her neighbors after finishing her farm work. Everyone knew of her kind nature; she would help out her neighbors first during the busy harvesting season, then worry about her own crop. She never became upset when someone's cow ate her crops; she just sent the cow back to its owner. People in the village all know this: Aunt Luo is the most even-tempered and helpful person. Even though she is busy all the year round, no one ever saw her get sick.
After a while, everyone in the village knew she practiced Falun Gong, and in March 2001, Aunt Luo was arrested by her local police station, for "disturbing social order." How could such a nice person break the law? The villagers were sure that there had been a mistake so they all came to police station to visit her. Those kind-hearted people had thought their actions would move the policemen. However, she remained in detention for 53 days. During her detention, her neighbors visited her home more than usual. They came because Aunt Luo and her family needed help. Aunt Luo, through her kindness, moved the villagers deeply. Through her actions, she made people realize the mighty virtue of Dafa practitioners.
After she was released, Aunt Luo consistently clarified to people the truth of Falun Gong. As soon as the villagers heard that officials were coming to investigate Aunt Luo they would try to cover for her. One officer in the village, who was assigned to watch Aunt Luo, would give her a heads-up when his boss came. Since Aunt Lo didn't know how to type, she copied everything by hand, and then passed on the precious truth-clarification materials to her fellow villagers. Some materials were passed on to other villages through her relatives. The truth spread secretly among the village people: they know about the events on "April 25th" [when 10,000 practitioners peacefully appealed at the Central Government Office in Bejing; the government later claimed it was a violent protest], they know about " July 20th"[the date Falun Gong was banned by Jiang Zemin], and they know about the "Tiananmen Self-immolation Incident" [For details see http://www.clearwisdom.ca/eng/weekly_category/immolation.html].
