A Gansu Falun Dafa practitioner's statement of vindication during the unjust trial being held at the Yongcang County Court in Gansu Province: "We are innocent. The real criminals are the leaders of the vicious regime in charge and their accomplices. All of what Falun Dafa practitioners are doing is simply trying to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to those who do not know the truth. This is because Dafa practitioners cultivate themselves in accordance with the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. Isn't it being truthful to let people know the real story about Falun Gong? Falun Gong is good. Isn't it being compassionate to let people know what is good? While enduring unfair treatment, including being laid off, being fired, being sent into forced labor camp, being sentenced to jail, or even being tortured, Dafa practitioners still try their best to tell people that Falun Gong is good. Isn't that tolerance? Don't you think that Dafa practitioners are lofty and noble? Unfortunately, nowadays, truth and falsehood are reversed; good and evil are reversed. Those bad people who truly violate the law, those degenerate people who execute orders but violate the real law, remain at large. This is not allowed by heaven's law."

An elderly Falun Dafa practitioner's experience in participating in Fa-rectification: "On March 8, 2001, I was wrongfully arrested and sent to Shenyang Municipal Detention Center. During the illegal interrogation, I told them, 'I've been practicing Falun Gong for seven years and my whole family is free from illnesses. Because when one person practices, his whole family will benefit. My monthly income is only about 100 Yuan. It is not enough for me to see a doctor or buy medicine. If I said that I would not practice Falun Gong, would you reimburse me the fees of my medical care?' I continued talking and the policemen all listened to what I said. In the end, they had no choice but to leave. Later, I was abducted and sent to the Longshan Forced Labor Camp, where I was held for over six months. During a physical examination, the police feared that I would die in the camp so they arranged an urgent penalty reduction for me and let me go home."

A letter from a Falun Dafa practitioner who is currently suffering from the persecution to the police officers at the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Beijing who are persecuting him: "Because I practice Falun Dafa I was, without any legal process, sent to Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp to be 're-educated through labor.' Police officers tried to force me to write a statement promising not to practice Falun Gong. I didn't write it and so the police officers tortured me. I was tortured so badly that I lost consciousness. Police officers even force-fed me and exacted painful inhumane punishments on me, such as forcing me to stand or squat in the "army corps" posture [Practitioners are exposed under the scorching sun. Their feet are planted on the fiery ground. The skin on their face peels off from sunburn. Practitioners are also forced to sit on the ground for prolonged periods of time. Their buttocks are covered with sores due to sitting for a long time]. They also forced me to watch movies defaming Falun Gong."

A Falun Dafa practitioner from Anshan wrote to police officers at the Anshan Forced Labor Camp: "I am a Falun Dafa practitioner who has been detained many times, who has been beaten, tortured, sentenced to forced labor camp and then was lied to and subjected to brainwashing, but now I once again join the on-rush of Fa-rectification. Over the past 3+ years, I have witnessed that Falun Dafa practitioners are enduring brutal torture while upholding the truth. By now, a number of vicious people who participated in persecuting Dafa practitioners have received immediate karmic retribution. I hope that you will awaken and will not waste your effort to work for evil."
