At the beginning in 2002, Meng Xiangmin, head of the Jiutai Labor Camp in Jilin Province conducted three rounds of forced "reform" on detained practitioners. As a result, practitioner Sun Shizhong was tortured to death on April 19, 2002. Dozens of practitioners held a hunger strike to protest the persecution. In March 2002, Gao Ke, the instructor from the Education Division and Lu Changtai, secretary for the Reform and Education Division, ordered the common inmates to brutally beat Dafa practitioners during the "reform." Also in March 2002, Meng Fanrong, the instructor from Division One together with Lu Changtai beat Dafa practitioner Dong Fengshan until he could not open his eyes.

Wang, head of the labor camp clinic and the clinic doctor named Liang Dewei extorted money from the practitioners' families.

In mid May 2003, lawless police officers broke into the home of Dafa practitioner Ms. Yin Xingfen in the Yubei District, Chongqing City, and they beat her and her daughter Zhou Hong, who is also a Dafa practitioner. Ms. Yin Xingfen is currently detained at the Yubei District Detention Center, but exact information about Zhou Hong's whereabouts are unclear. Several days later, the police again broke into her home and beat her husband and son Zhou Tao, who are also Dafa practitioners. Zhou Tao suffered head injuries from the beating and had to have more than 20 stitches. The current whereabouts of Zhou Tao and his father are unknown. The 80-year-old grandmother is left at home uncared for.

After July 20, 1999, officers from the Wanbolin Police Department in Taiyuan City persecuted Dafa practitioners by ransacking their homes, tailing them, illegally monitoring them, detaining them, brainwashing, forced labor, imprisonment and even murder.

In October 2002, prior to the Sixteenth Party Congress, the persecutors were extremely fanatical. They arrested nearly 100 Dafa practitioners who produce truth-clarifying materials. These practitioners who had left their homes to avoid arrest, are steadfast practitioners from different districts, cities and even other province(s). The police destroyed numerous Dafa material production sites. Police Brigade executioners brutally murdered several Dafa practitioners.

On July 8 and July 9, 2002, Wanbolin District Court officials in Taiyuan City tried 23 Dafa practitioners who were illegally arrested before the Sixteenth Congress. On the morning of July 8, pouring rain fell, thunder rumbled and lightening flashed in Taiyuan City because the heavens were angered by these atrocities. On July 9, Dafa practitioners shouted, "Falun Dafa is good" in court. The perpetrators grew afraid and recessed the trial.

I called the officials at the Hulan County Detention Center in Heilongjiang Province, because after I got off work on September 23, I read a news article that I had printed from Minghui Net that said, "Dafa practitioner Zhang Xuewen from Hulan County, Heilongjiang Province was tortured to death in the local detention center."

I called up Wang Yufeng, the head of the detention center, and told him that people who worked as roughnecks during the Cultural Revolution were traced down and held legally responsible, even a decade after the Cultural Revolution had ended. In all political movements, the responsibility was always shifted from the higher level to the lower level. At fist, Wang Yufeng cursed vehemently and claimed he would destroy Falun Gong. Later he changed his attitude and claimed the inmates killed the practitioner. After I exposed his crimes, Wang grew silent and hung up.

I hope kind-hearted people can access Minghui Net and call the persecutors in China to stop their atrocities.

On September 28, practitioners in Australia held an activity called "Old and Young Dafa Practitioners Practice Together" in Brisbane, where they all shared a picnic near the lake by the vegetable garden and exchanged insights.
