Dafa practitioner Ms.Liu Liping has been illegally detained at the Harbin Women's Prison for an unjustly issued four-year sentence. In order to protest the illegal detention and persecution, she held a long-term hunger strike and is on the brink of death.

Jiang Wei is a Falun Gong practitioner from Jilin City. In October 2000, he was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor because he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. Right now he is being detained at the Yinmahe Labor Camp in Jiutai City, Jilin Province. After his three-year sentence expired, the law-breaking perpetrators arbitrarily extended his term by one year.

Human Notions and the Printer:

For a long time, my printer has been the best assistant in my effort to offer salvation to people. Once a fellow practitioner suggested that I use cheap ink. After I filled the cartridge with the ink and tried to print, the test page did not come out. I thought maybe the printer doesn't recognize this type of ink, so I should buy the more expensive kind I used before. But I felt this kind of thinking was not right. I stopped, calmly looked inward and realized the fixed notion of "my printer only recognizes the ink acknowledged by the manufacturer," which had formed deep within me. However, Dafa transcends all human knowledge and understanding. Therefore, I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the human notions formed within the depth of my being, especially the very stubborn ones. I also told my printer to actively eliminate the interfering elements in and outside of our dimensional field. About half an hour later, I re-tried and the test page came out. It still was not completely clear, but the improvement gave me lots of confidence! I turned off the printer and stopped trying and continually adjusted my mind and sent forth righteous thoughts with a calm heart. The next day, a test page with perfectly legible words was printed. From this incident I deeply felt that the human notions that have formed deep within us for thousands of years are indeed difficult to get rid of, but it's not impossible to do so. As long as we firmly believe in Master and Dafa, no barrier exists and nothing can stop us.

Dafa practitioners in Jilin City Negate the Persecution of a Brainwashing Class:

On October 1, 2000, fellow practitioners and I started on our trip to Beijing to appeal. We were arrested halfway through our trip and were detained for half a month. On October 11, 2002, I was abducted and sent to a brainwashing class held by the Jilin City Police Department. The vile police officers tried to force Dafa practitioners to write the "guarantee statements" to give up Falun Gong and played Dafa-slandering videos. We resisted with righteous thoughts. The police yelled and beat us. In protest, we held three hunger strikes lasting more than 20 days. The police grew afraid and no longer interfered when we studied the Fa, did group exercises and sent forth righteous thoughts. The brainwashing class actually failed after a little over two months. However, the corrupt police extorted 2,400 Yuan from each practitioner's family (500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China).
