To Yang Jiechi, Chinese Ambassador to the United States:

It is irrational for you, as a Chinese official, to defame Falun Gong to the U.S. Congress and to threaten to put the Sino-U.S. relationship on the line as a way of preventing U.S. officials from executing their responsibilities. As you are no doubt aware, the relationship between China and the United States is distinct from the relationship between Jiang Zemin and the United States. The brutal persecution of Falun Gong by Jiang's regime will not escape justice. By disregarding the persecution and even hiding it, you are actually participating in the persecution and destroying yourself as well. You should think about whether you will follow the path set for you by Jiang, or be guided by your own conscience.

Masanjia Labor Camp Mass Produced Lies: One day, all of the practitioners held at Masanjia were rounded up and taken to the No. 1 Brigade. Because I was suffering severe diarrhea, two practitioners in their 60s and I stayed behind. While most of the practitioners were temporarily absent, a film production team arrived, including a man in his 30s dressed in casual clothing. A reporter interviewed this man and thus, another news story full of lies was filmed. A similar thing happened in 2001 before the annual session of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights. In order to produce a false news report, all Dafa practitioners were transferred to the Male Youth Detention Center. Thus, when foreign journalist arrived, some people were playing sports and Falun Gong practitioners were kept out of sight. Because there were so many of us, up to 10 practitioners were packed into a tiny room, and dozens of others were jammed into a larger room.

Regarding truth clarification and distributing truth-clarifying materials: I feel that while clarifying the truth, we need to use our wisdom. We should use an appropriate approach with compassion and rationality, and behave in a friendly manner. As long as we put our hearts into it, many effective ways will naturally occur to us. In short, we should treat truth clarification as our responsibility instead of an everyday person's task. We should conduct ourselves as Dafa particles, use every second we have, and take the initiative to clarify the truth. Only then can more beings be saved.

No one can change our firm belief in Falun Dafa. After July 20, 1999, our whole family went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and to clarify the truth. We were arrested and the police extorted cash from us on several occasions. In addition, our local police station kept harassing us. In April 2002, dozens of people in two vehicles arrived at our home to take my spouse to a brainwashing center. On the evening of May 23, 2002, two cars full of police that had come to seize me surrounded the building. I had to jump from the 4^th floor, fracturing my pelvis, left shoulder, left foot, and right thighbone. I passed out on the spot. As soon as they saw this, the police fled the scene. However, the physical pain, mental torture, and exile could not make us give in. Falun Dafa is deeply rooted in our hearts and is in our blood. No one can change our enduring belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

A 57-year-old practitioner went to Beijing three times to appeal for Falun Dafa. In 1999, this man and a fellow practitioner went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. While they were detained, the police left the practitioners outdoors in the cold for about 4 hours. After that, they were shackled to a metal chair for a whole day. On June 10, the man walked to Beijing with a fellow practitioner. They slept in the grass at night and wore out five pairs of shoes before they got to the Tiananmen Square, where they unfurled a Falun Dafa banner. The police beat them until they were near death and then put them in jail. The man then went on a hunger strike. On the fifth day, the police bought him a train ticket and sent him home. He got off the train at the first stop and clarified the truth to people. He was then arrested and sent to the local detention center, where he was beaten and jailed for ten days. On October 1, 2000, he went to Beijing for the third time to appeal for Falun but was recognized by the police. He was sent back to his local detention center. In December, he was locked up in the village office while the police attempted to send him to a forced labor camp for a three-year term. The man refused to eat or drink. The police had no choice but to let him go free.
