Lu Zhenshan, head of the Wanjia Labor Camp in Harbin City, oversees the operation of this labor camp, where brutal torture of Falun Gong practitioners is carried out. Some of these abuses include forced brainwashing, detention in solitary confinement (a single room without daylight), sitting on metal stools for a long time, standing next to an outside concrete wall in the heat of summer when the wall is very hot. The abusers scrape the practitioners' body with scalpels and scraping spoons; they tape the practitioners' mouths; destroy the practitioners' hearing with high-decibel noise; throw female practitioners into male cells; forcibly inject practitioners with drugs and force-feed the practitioners.

On June 20, 2001, additional shocking news was heard from the Wanjia Labor Camp. That day, 15 Falun Gong practitioners were brutally tortured and three died. This is the direct result of the highly frequent, highly intense tortures directed first-handed by Lu Zhenshan.

The Huangpu Legal School in Guangzhou City is in fact a brainwashing center, where the enforcers torture Dafa practitioners recklessly. During the day, they force the practitioners to watch Dafa-slandering videos, and at night they physically torture the practitioners. These are some of the things they subject our practitioners to: they force the practitioners to stand with both knees bent and their hands extended in front of them; they brutally beat the practitioners and bang their heads against the wall; they smash the practitioners' heads with a heavy metal lock and also sexually attack the practitioners. They push the practitioners' head into the toilets and force them to drink the water, and they even step on the practitioners' back. If the practitioners refuse to cooperate, the thugs would tie them up and torture them further.

A Dafa practitioner reflecting on lessons learned during Fa-rectification cultivation: When looking back at the detours I took, although I never wrote the "three statements," I didn't do well whenever facing interrogation by the evil. Although the fundamental cause is within myself, the evil's arrangements and its helpers are indeed cunning. They make you sell out fellow practitioners without even realizing it. Now that I look back, the lawless police were using my omissions. I agreed to tell them things they claimed they already knew, and that they said wouldn't damage Dafa, which is a degenerate notion. This increased tribulations for fellow practitioners and made me cooperate with the evil. My biggest problem is I was not being completely responsible for fellow practitioners and Dafa amidst the evil persecution. I was brainwashed step by step while still thinking I was safeguarding the Fa. Later, I was again taken advantage of. The police told me that someone was a spy and that he received money from the government. Later, I sold out this person, a fellow practitioner, without knowing it. I always thought he was a spy, when in fact he was a very determined practitioner. When I learned the truth afterwards, my heart ached beyond description.

A non-practitioner, recalling an elderly Dafa practitioner who was his landlady: every weekend, a dozen or so Falun Gong practitioners came to the elderly practitioner's home to exchange experiences. Among them were doctors and post-doctorate students from famous universities; chefs and nannies...but they were all equals here. They were like a big family as they helped and encouraged each other. Although they also had arguments, and sometimes had big arguments, they would look inward and so their relationship was not damaged. Many practitioners had the key to the elderly lady's house, so when she wasn't home, they would continue the weekend Fa study. For a while, the practitioners held walks. The elderly lady and three other elderly practitioners walked through the state where I lived. It took them more than two weeks to come back, and their faces were tanned. There were quite a few of Fa conferences every year, and the elderly lady went almost every time. It cost her at least $100 and sometimes $500-600 dollars each trip. The elderly lady never regretted spending that money. Her clothes and food, though, were very simple and unadorned. When I moved out, I felt that I had been paying her way below market for rent, so I tried to give her several hundred dollars, but the elderly lady would not accept it, no matter how much I insisted.

World Journal August 24^th, 2003 report: Falun Gong practitioners in the Greater Vancouver area have held a non-stop sit-in protest in front of the Chinese consulate, 24 hour a day for over two years. Today is the 734^th day of the protest. According to a contact person, about 50 practitioners participate regularly. The hardest time was the winter of 2001, when they had only a small shelter constructed from plastic sheets. One year ago, practitioners made better banners and brought them to the sit-in site. They also built a wooden shelter so the practitioners have a safer environment at night.

Dafa practitioner Song Weixiang, her mother and husband obtained the Fa at the same time. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, her mother abandoned Dafa. Song Weixiang was illegally sentenced to seven years in prison after being arrested on October 2, 2001 [Chinese lunar calendar], and was detained at the Heizuizi Labor Camp in Changchun City. On July 27, 2003, when crossing the street, Song Weixiang's mother was hit by a motorcycle. She died from the heavy injuries. The perpetrators at the labor camp not only didn't allow Song Weixiang to see her mother for the last time; they also went to her home to make videotapes, to deceive people and Song Weixiang. The local people said, "We don't know what kind of lies they are going to spread this time."

Reference about previous happenings: the greatest lie in China. On January 23, 2001, a self-immolation incident took place in Tiananmen Square, Beijing. In the following days, the overseas media reported several suspicious discrepancies in the "on-site" videotape made by CCTV, which include 1. The police arrived before the self-immolators lit themselves; 2. There aren't any fire extinguishers in Tiananmen Square, and the police never carry them when patrolling. How can they gather dozens of fire extinguishers and blankets one minute after the fire started? 3. There were far, center and close-up views of the immolation scene. It shows that many cameras were rolling from different angles. The closest camera was within 20 meters (60 feet) of the scene. If it wasn't pre-arranged, how can it be so thorough? 4. Xinhua News Agency always censors articles several times prior to publishing, but this time the English language report was published within two hours; such speed is highly unusual; 5. "Wang Jindong," one of the immolators, appeared jet-black from burning all over his body; yet he could shout slogans with such a loud and clear voice; 6. Liu Siying, the severely burnt 12-year-old girl could sing soon after her trachea was cut open, which defies common sense. As the Party's countless lies made in the new century are continuously exposed, the regime itself, whose rule is supported with and based on lies, will not last much longer.
