Persecution Facts

In mid October 2003, the authorities at the notoriously cruel Masanjia Labor Camp started another round of persecution against Dafa practitioners. Collaborators [former Falun Gong practitioners who went astray after torture and brainwashing and now have been coerced into helping to persecute their fellow practitioners] tied up practitioner Zhen Juxiang's legs in the double lotus meditation position. Then they sat on her legs and pushed down on them. Ms. Zhen Juxiang could not walk afterwards.

Dafa practitioner Li Hui passed out from torture and went into convulsions.

Dafa practitioner Sun Yanli, an unmarried woman, was not allowed to sleep for fifteen days and fifteen nights. The authorities decided to sexually assault her in order to persecute her to the maximum. Sun was forced to sit on the ground while the authorities violently scratched and tore at her inner thighs until they became bruised all over. Then Sun was sexually and sadistically abused by the authorities who forcibly inserted their hands into her vagina in order cause bruising and to purposely break her hymen to insult her virginity and degrade her.

Dafa practitioner Zhou Yuzhi was hung up for several days. The perpetrators shocked her with electric batons.

Dafa practitioner Cui Xiaoqing was not allowed to sleep for 40 days.

Dafa practitioners Liu Wenxiu and her son Han Xing from the Jinzhou Normal Institute in Xingcheng city, Liaoning Province were illegally arrested and held at the Huludao City Detention Center. Liu Wenxiu was recently sentenced to three-and-half years in prison and Han Xing was sentenced to three years in prison.

Dafa practitioner Miao Jun tore up Dafa-slandering propaganda and was reported, resulting him being held at the Huludao City Forced Labor Camp for one year.

Around 11:30 a.m. on May 13, 2004, perpetrators from the Shenyang City Female Prison (the former Dabei Female Prison) and Xinxing District Police Department abducted Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Yanjun from Donggang City, Liaoning Province. All this was done under leadership from the Donggang City Police Department, who claimed they would "take Liu Yanjun for a physical exam."

Dafa practitioner Shi Jinling from Fushun City, Liaoning Province went to Beijing in August 2001 and shouted on Tiananmen Square, "Falun Dafa is good." She was arrested and sent to the Fushun Forced Labor Camp for three years of forced labor. Shi Jinling did not cooperate with the persecution and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" "Restore Master's reputation!" In April 2002, Shi Jinling escaped from the labor camp with the power of her righteous thoughts, but she was deceived by the authorities and ended up back in the labor camp in September 2001. Shi Jinling held a hunger strike and shouted "Falun Dafa is good!" continuously in an effort to resist the persecution. On the seventh day she was sent home in an open and dignified manner. In December 2003, Shi Jinling shouted, "Falun Dafa is good" at the Tiananmen Tower in Beijing and was arrested once again. She was held at a detention center and a labor camp for 30 days and was picked up by perpetrators from the Fushun Forced Labor Camp. After they extorted 2,000 Yuan from her for travel expenses, they sent her home.

On May 6, 2004, police officers in Qinhuangdao City broke into Dafa practitioner Chang Yuzhou's home and arrested her. Her four-year-old son realized the police officers were "bad people" and called the neighbors for help. The police officers beat the neighbors. In the end they arrested Ms. Chang Yuzhou, citing "obstructing the law."

Perpetrators and Crimes

On December 21, 2001, Dafa practitioners Li Zhihua and Xiong Shuxiang from Zhangwu County, Fuxin City, Liaoning Province were abducted when distributing truth clarification materials and were held at the county detention center. Cui Haifeng, head of the Politics and Security Division from the county police department threatened and intimidated them, and he ordered them to reveal the source of the truth clarification materials. They released the practitioners after extorting 5,000 Yuan from each of their families.

On December 8, 2003, Dafa practitioner Kong Fei from Zhangwu County went to Beijing to appeal and was detained at the county detention center for more than 20 days. Cui Haifeng unlawfully sentenced Dafa practitioner Kong Fei to three years of forced labor and sent him to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

Dafa practitioner Li Jianguo is 63 years old. The perpetrators at the Baoding City Forced Labor Camp in Hebei Province hung Li Jianguo up on a metal railing by his handcuffs for ten days and ten nights.

The perpetrators cuffed practitioner Ma Yulin's left hand to the wire mesh outside the window and his right hand to the heating radiator and didn't allow him to go to the restroom.

The police officers in Baoding City tortured Dafa practitioner Liu Yongwang with the method called the Tiger Bench and broke both of his legs [With this cruel torture, practitioners are forced to sit on a small metal bench that is approximately 20 cm (6 inches) tall with their knees tied together. With their hands tied behind their backs or sometimes placed on their knees, they are forced to sit straight up and look straight ahead. They are not allowed to turn their heads, close their eyes, talk to anyone or move at all. Several inmates are assigned to watch over the practitioners and force them to remain motionless while sitting on the bench. Usually some hard objects are inserted underneath the practitioners' lower legs or ankles to make it harder for them to tolerate this abuse (see illustration on http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2001/11/24/16156.html]. After Liu Yongwang was sent to the Baoding Forced Labor Camp he held a hunger strike to protest the persecution. The guards spread rumors, exclaiming, "Liu Yongwang's legs are broken from holding a hunger strike."
