The Shooting Case in South Africa
On July 1, 2004, Seattle Falun Gong practitioners held a press conference to expose Zeng Qinghong's hiring of a gunman to shoot at Falun Gong practitioners during his visiting to South Africa and to strongly condemn Jiang's group's stepping up the persecution of overseas Falun Gong practitioners. The practitioners appealed to people to stop the persecution, which is against humanity and the principles of the nation and the world.
Facts of the Persecution
In April 2004, the policemen from the Tiexi District Police Department and the Shenyang City Police Department abducted my son, Dafa practitioner Dong Xinyan from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province near the Shenyang City Train Station. Later, the Tiexi District Detention Center informed my daughter-in-law to visit Dong Xinyan. When she saw him, he had been in a coma and was very skinny. After the doctors rescued him for 10 days in a hospital, he just opened his eyes. From June 4 to now, more than twenty days have passed. Half the time Dong is still in a state of unconsciousness. His right hand was broken from being beaten and dark scars from cigarettes burns were on his right arm.
