(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of July 25, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners in the Hsinchu area held a signature collection activity in front of the Hsinchu Railway Station so as to help more people learn about the persecution of Falun Gong taking in Mainland China.

Before the activity, practitioners contacted the stationmaster to express our purpose and the meaning of the activity. The stationmaster gladly gave us permission to collect signatures at the most prominent location -- the exit of the station. Practitioners displayed photos around the area and showed over ten torture methods that Jiang's group uses to persecute Falun Gong. The practitioners also hung banners reading "Falun Dafa is Good, the World Needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." Crowds of people were shocked at seeing the photos depicting the torture methods. They could not imagine that such things are happening today. Practitioners took the opportunity to explain the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution to them.
Those who had learned about Falun Gong came to sign the petition in support. There was a story behind each name. After listening to the practitioners' introduction and explanation, many people changed their attitudes from initially feeling indifferent, to actively signing their names to support justice and stop the persecution. Some people invited their friends to come to sign their names. Voices supporting justice have no distinction between ages and nationalities. Some parents brought their children together to come to sign their names, some people from far away places also came to sign the petition after learning about this activity. People could be seen reading the Falun Gong introductory information at each corner of the station. Practitioners were also walking here and there, so that no one would be left out.
A practitioner said that when he explained to a young man about Falun Gong, the young man's attitude was originally critical, but he became calm after listening to the practitioner talking about the positive changes he personally experienced after practicing Falun Gong. He agreed that Jiang's group's brutality is wrong. Before leaving, he patted the practitioner on the shoulder. The practitioner was moved. Another practitioner understood that truth clarification is the master key to saving sentient beings and realized that how much effort we put into it is also very important.
