Disturbance in the market

Early on August 14th, seven Russian practitioners arrived in Ussurisk City. Because it was Saturday, after we had settled our living arrangements, we decided to distribute leaflets in the Chinese market. We went to the biggest Chinese market in Ussurisk. There were many stalls at the market, so we divided into several groups to distribute the materials.

When we were distributing the materials, two Chinese-speaking Korean women rushed over to us. They yelled, screamed and tore up several truth-clarifying materials. They even threatened us, saying, "Here are all our people. You are not allowed to distribute materials here. Some of you guys must be Chinese, we will find them, and the Chinese police will come to arrest them tomorrow." They even forced the Chinese people who had taken the materials to give them back to us. Meanwhile, security guards came and asked us to go to the market management office. Other practitioners were also asked to the office by the security guards. After the person in charge of the office listened to our truth-clarification, he said that because the entire market was a private place owned by a company, distributing materials in general was not permitted. Moreover, the Chinese businessmen who were doing business in the market had objections, so the officier asked us to go back there again on Monday to talk with the market manager to get permission. Because there was still a practitioner distributing materials in the market, and the security guard could not find her, we continued to clarify truth of Falun Gong to them and sent forth righteous thoughts. The person in charge told us of other locations where Chinese people do business and said that this market also had a regular night market in which a lot Chinese came to do wholesaling. After showing us around the night market location, the officer accompanied us to the entrance of the market and said goodnight to us.

After having distributed Falun Gong materials alone in the market for a long time, the practitioner also met the two Chinese-Koreans. When they threatened the practitioner in the same manner, the practitioner asked them, "Who are you? What right do you have to stop me distributing the materials? Are you the Chinese police? Let's go to the Russian police together!" When the Korean women heard that she wanted to go to the Russian police, they were scared and ran away. Before we went to the Far East, we had heard that Chinese police had illegally kidnapped Chinese Dafa practitioners in Ussurisk City and taken them back to China. When we distributed leaflets in Ussurisk, some kind-hearted Chinese people also told us, "If you have Chinese passports, don't distribute the materials in the market. There are people here from the Chinese security bureau."

Afterwards, we went to a farmer's market. Though it was Saturday, there were many Chinese businessmen. They all accepted our materials. On the way, we stopped by a Chinese restaurant and gave the materials to people working there. Then, a group of practitioners went to a construction site. They also found many Chinese construction workers there.

Practising the exercises in the square in front of the train station

At night, we practised the exercises in a square in front of the local train station. At first, there were only a few people but later many people came. We distributed all the papers we had. When we practised the exercises, a woman practised the second set exercises with us. One practitioner went to teach her. She came from Habarovsk City. She took Dafa books and other materials, and also exchanged her address with the practitioner from Habarovsk. We met many Chinese people in the train station as well. They all took leaflets to read.

Clarifying the Truth to the Chinese people in Pograniqnei town

The following day, August 15th, we left for a small town on the border of China and Russia which is called Pograniqnei and is not far from Ussurisk. Because it was Sunday, there were few people in the market, and few Chinese tourists. But the Chinese businessmen were still running their businesses. We distributed materials to them. Many people asked us questions, and we answered all of them. Of course, we also met some who did not accept our materials. One man even said some unreasonable words. We remained peaceful and said, "The Chinese media's propaganda is lies. Falun Dafa is good! There is nothing wrong to be a good person following the principles of 'Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.'"

As we didn't know the town, we didn't know where to find where the Chinese people lived and shopped. When we asked a driver, he did not tell us at the beginning. However, after he read the truth-clarifying newspaper we gave him, he told us that there was a Chinese hostel not far away. We walked towards the direction he told us. We saw a group of Chinese construction workers there. We approached them and they were all very friendly. We gave them the materials and sang the song "Coming for You," which we had just learned. They were happy to see us and said they would carefully read the materials.

After we distributed information in the Chinese hostel, we learned that there was a Chinese brick factory two kilometres away and there were many Chinese people there. Though we had to walk there and we were not familiar with the roads, it did not daunt us. Everyone was in high spirits and we were not tired at all. We went across a small river and distributed many Russian truth-clarifying newspapers on the way. People all accepted them happily.

After going through a village, we arrived at the Chinese brick factory. At the beginning, an employee in the office repeatedly said that we would disrupt their production schedule and thus asked us to leave. We explained the purpose of our visit and the facts about the persecution and sent forth righteous thoughts at the same time. After five minutes, he was called to go somewhere else. After we left the office we found the workers in the workeshop. They all happily accepted materials. Then, we met a man riding a bicycle outside the workshop. We gave him some materials and told him to take good care of it as their manager didn't allow us to distribute Falun Gong materials. Surprisingly, the man told us that he was the one in charge of the factory.

We encountered people who had previously learned Falun Gong in the village

On the way back after leaving the brick factory, when a practitioner was distributing the Russian truth-clarifying newspapers to the few pedestrians, two guys came to us. After they took the newspapers, they wanted us to wait for them. One of the two guys ran into the village. The other guy told us that they had bought the Russian version of Zhuan Falun [the main teachings of Falun Dafa] in Vladivostok long time ago. They had read it three times. All they discussed all day were the contents of Zhuan Falun, but they still had some questions. They could not practise the exercises correctly, either. So they were very happy to see us distributing materials about Dafa.

Shortly afterward, the other guy ran back with the book Zhuan Falun in his hand. Upon seeing that he was so excited, we were also very happy. When we went to the Far East, we heard that there were 1000 Dafa books sold in Ussurisk several years ago. When we went to Ussurisk this time, we wanted to find any practitioners who had learned to practice Falun Dafa. It was compassionate Master who had arranged them to find us. He did not give up on a single practitioner. Because we had to catch the train, we demonstrated the exercises and tried our best to answer their questions about cultivation practise within our understanding of the Fa principles in the limited time we had. We left some Russian materials for them. Then, we exchanged our addresses, and said goodbye to each other.
