1) Police in the Huludao City Labor Camp in Liaoning Province use electric batons to shock Falun Dafa practitioners who are on hunger strike. On August 30, 2004, police shocked Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Ming from Huludao City with 2 batons on his genitals. On August 13, three Falun Dafa practitioners, Mr. Du Jincai, Mr. Shi Chunde and Mr. Tao Shan, who are all on hunger strikes, were shocked, beaten, and forced to sit on small stools.

2) Falun Dafa practitioner, Ms. Liu Ying refuses to give up her belief, and is closely watched every day by seven or eight prisoners in the Yangmahe Women's Labor Camp in Jianyang City, Sichuan Province. The police do not allow her to sleep and harass her continually. Because she refused to wear a prison uniform, the police forced her to stand naked in front of everyone. Due to her long-term torture, Ms. Liu is suffering from tuberculosis, and is now held in the prison hospital. The authorities not only refuse to release her, but have extended her term by an additional four years.

3) On August 14, 2004, farmer Ni Jiaxiang of Lianhua Village, Renhe Town, Renhe District, Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province was arrested at his home by police because he firmly cultivates Falun Dafa, and clarifies the truth about Dafa and the persecution to other people.

4) Mr. Yu Zhaohai, in his 70s, is a farmer from Baoshan Township, Dazu County, Chongqing City. On May 10, 2000, Mr. Yu went to share experiences with his fellow practitioners at a place called Baoding, where they were arrested and taken to the County Department Store Building. There, police officer Li Fei beat him. He was forced to kneel down on the ground, and was required to pay a 1,000 yuan (1) bond before being released. His temporary housing was ransacked, and the authorities are forcing him to report to the Township Government Secretary Office and the Party Secretary Office every day. The police also arranged for two Party members to monitor Mr. Yu.

5) Mr. Li Zhanxian is 52 years old and a Falun Dafa practitioner in Chenzhou City, Hunan Province. Since the persecution began on July 20, 1999, he has been arrested several times, beaten, and had large amounts of money extorted from him (once he was required to pay 21,000 yuan!). Mr. Li was sent to the Xinkaipu Labor Camp in Changsha City in 2001. He suffered a physical collapse because he was required to work extremely long hours. He was released because he developed a serious chronic cough. On August 19, 2004, Mr. Li was declared missing, after he went out to deliver a propane bottle.

6) Falun Dafa practitioner, Ms. Gu Suhua from Dalian City, Liaoning Province has been in custody for seven months and seven days, as of August 24. She was first detained by police at the Yaojia Detention Center, and then transferred to the Pulandian City Detention Ward. Ms. Gu went on a hunger strike to protest her illegal arrest and detention. Her physical condition has deteriorated significantly under the brutal persecution.

7) Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Cheng Xiuhuan and Ms. Chen Jinfeng, both from Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province, were arrest and held by the police. Both had scabies all over their bodies, which prevented the police from sending them to prison. Because of their condition, they were held at the Mudanjiang City Detention Center for 18 months. On August 3, 2004, they were both sent to the Harbin Women's Prison. Ms. Cheng Xiuhuan's husband is also a Falun Dafa practitioner, and is being held in the Jianshanzi City Prison. Another Falun Dafa practitioner, Liu Xiuhuan from Mudanjiang City, was arrested when clarifying the truth, and is now detained in the Mudanjiang City Detention Center.
