Facts of the Persecution

1. Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zou Xiaoling from Buyunqiao Town, Qidong County, Hunan Province Arrested

On the evening of November 5, 2002, fellow practitioners Ms. Tan Meiying, Mr. Xiao Ganghua, Mr. Li Chaoguo, Ms. Chen Luying and I were hanging banners and posting stickers along a public road. We were arrested by policemen Xie Xinhua (male), Chen Huiyuan (male), Peng Junyong (male) and Xiao Xudong (male), with others from the Zhuantang Town Substation. They held me in the Qidong County Detention Center more than fifteen months, brutally tortured me, and extorted a 4,000 yuan "fine" from me.

2. Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Li Chaoguo from Buyunqiao Town, Qidong County, Hunan Province Arrested

At the beginning of November 2002, I made some banners with the words "Falun Dafa is Good!" and "Falun Dafa is Righteous!" printed on them for posting outside. On the evening of November 5, policeman Xiao Xudong, and others from the Zhuantang Town Substation stormed into my home and confiscated my banners, along with my headlamp, flashlight, keys, and personal ID. They interrogated me using torture in the Police Substation and transferred me to the Qidong County Detention Center the next day. I was detained for fifteen months. I was brutally beaten. They extorted a 2,000 yuan "bail" fee, 2,000 yuan for living expenses, plus more than 1,000 yuan for miscellaneous fees from me. I had just been released in March 2004, when the director of the Buyunqiao Police Substation, Zou Aimin (male) and the Buyunqiao Town "610 Office" director Zeng Xiangsheng instructed local hired thugs to monitor and arrest me. I had to become destitute and homeless for several months in order to avoid being illegally arrested at home.

3. Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Zhang Guangli and Others from Acheng City, Heilongjiang Province Are Sentenced to Six and Seven Year Terms

On August 16, 2004, twenty-four Falun Dafa practitioners from Acheng City were arrested when passing out truth clarifying materials in Xiaoling Town. Among them were Mr. Zhang Qingwen and his son Zhang Guangli, who had become destitute and homeless in order to avoid being illegally arrested at home. Currently, at least five practitioners have been sentenced to six to seven year jail terms, and are still detained in the Acheng City No.1 Detention Center. Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Qi Fengchen was sentenced to six years. He has two young daughters and an unemployed wife at home, who are barely surviving. Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Tao Hongmei and Ms. Yang Lixia were secretly put on trial by the Acheng City Court on December 6, 2004 (details unknown). Local police submitted their files several times to the upper level authorities. They sent several practitioners to the Wanjia Women's Labor Camp and sixty three year old Mr. Zhang Qingwen and other men to the Changlinzi Labor Camp on December 24, 2004. Among them Ms. Meng Fanyan was sentenced to two years. Her child is only one year old and is being cared for by her mother, because her husband is working out of town. Mr. Zhang Qingwen's wife, Sun Shufen, remains destitute and homeless in order to avoid being illegally arrested at home.

4. 610 Office Personnel under the Direction of Zhou Yongkang in Zunhua City, Tangshan Prefecture, Hebei Province Continue Persecuting Practitioners

From December 2004 until January 2005, the Zunhua City 610 Office director and the Lunan District Political and Judiciary Committee Secretary, Zhao Yulian (male) were personally involved in persecution activities. They divided into groups, arrested over twenty Falun Dafa practitioners, ransacked their homes, and destroyed many Falun Dafa materials centers. The illegal arrests still continue. On the evening of January 23, 2005, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liang Chensheng and several new practitioners were studying the Fa in his home. They were reported to the police and the Zunhua City 610 Office, the State Security police, the Niangniang Township government, along with local police, surrounded his home. Mr. Liang opened the door without knowing who was there. They stormed in, ransacked his home, took away all his Falun Dafa books and exercises tapes, and arrested him. We found out the following day that he did not disclose anything while being tortured by the police. They detained Mr. Liang for 15 days.

5. The Police from the Chigang Street Substation in Guangzhou City Repeatedly Persecute Practitioners

On the morning of November 22, 2004, around 10:30 a.m., policeman Ruan Peihong (male) from the Chigang Street Substation in Guangzhou City and the Neighborhood administrator Wei Hongqing entered the Feihu Curtain Store located on West Yiyuan Street and arrested an elderly lady, Ms. Liu Beiying, and her son Mr. Zhu Rencheng. They ransacked the store and assigned police to remain in the store for a week to monitor any suspicious activities. At this time, Ms. Liu and her son are still detained in the Haizhu District Detention Center, leaving her daughter-in-law (the owner of the store) and a three month old grandson at home. It is impossible to run the business without them.

6. Persecution Facts in Dehui City, Jilin Province

On December 14, 2004, police arrested nine local Falun Dafa practitioners in the Tienan region by following them, hiding out, and ransacking their homes. Five of them, Ms. Liu Fengyun, Ms. Bai He, Ms. Yu Shuhua, Ms. Su Dan, and Mr. Sun Changsheng were released, but Mr. Bai Ruisong and Mr. Sun Dawei have been transferred to the Yinmahe Labor Camp in Jiutai City. Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Ma Chunli has been on a hunger strike for more than forty days since her arrest and has been force-fed every day. Her situation is very grave. Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhu Guoyou is still detained inside the Dehui City Detention Center. The Dehui City Court has put him on trial. The details are forthcoming.
