1. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Mr. Bao Jige Arrested
On February 5, 2005, deputy police chief Qin Hebao and three policemen from the Beixiangyi Township Police Station in Cheng'an County, Handan City, Hebei Province, broke into practitioner Mr. Bao Jige's home in Dingzhuang Village, Beixiangyi Township. They kicked in the door, smashing it to pieces. Mr. Bao then went to the rooftop to get away, but the policemen discovered him and surrounded his home. Mr. Bao clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to them, but they wouldn't listen. By then, many bystanders had gathered around the house. Later, the head of the county's National Security Brigade Lian Rihong and three policemen joined the other policemen and arrested Mr. Bao. Mr. Bao is currently illegally detained at the Cheng'an County Detention Center.

2. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Police Arrest Practitioners Mr. Jiang Haitao and Ms. Wang Kun
Practitioners Mr. Jiang Haitao and Ms. Wang Kun (a couple) from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province had to go from place to place to avoid persecution. On February 16, 2005, policemen from the Xiangyang Police Department found them at their residence and arrested them. Ms. Wang used to teach at Jiamusi University. Mr. Jiang used to be a medical officer at the No. 224 Hospital in Jiamusi City. He is yet another medical officer arrested for practicing Falun Gong. Practitioner Wang Jiping is another medical officer from the No. 224 Hospital who was arrested for practicing Falun Gong. Ms. Wang is now detained at the Jiamusi City Detention Center. The authorities from the Shenyang Military District took Mr. Jiang away.

3. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Retired Worker Mr. Zhang Fengde's Pension Stopped
Fifty-nine-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Fengde is a retired Ping Opera (1) actor. Just days before the Chinese New Year, his pension was revoked for no apparent reason. He went to talk to Gong Junsheng, the head of the local culture center, but Gong Junsheng said that he didn't have any information on why his pension was stopped. Mr. Zhang then went to ask the director of the Culture Bureau, who also said he didn't know the reason, but suggested that he ask the Guangyang District 610 Office.
The act of canceling a retired worker's pension without a reason is a violation of a citizen's legitimate rights and interests. In this case, it took away the retired worker's only source of income.

4. [Chongqing City] Practitioner Mr. Liu Xinyu Tortured
On December 11, 2004, practitioner Mr. Liu Xinyu was taken to the Fuling Detention Center. From the time he was brought there, he continued to tell the guards the facts about Falun Dafa. Policemen from the Fuling Police Department, including policeman Wang Zaixu, wanted to stop him from telling the facts, so they injected him with unknown drugs. They handcuffed his hands behind his back for 24 hours a day, so he had to be fed by others.
5. [Chongqing City] Practitioner Ms. Fang Min Arrested and Tortured Again
On October 17, 2004, practitioner Ms. Fang Min from Sanjiang Township, Qijiang County, Chongqing City, along with other practitioners, was telling people the facts about Falun Dafa. They were reported to the police, arrested, and have since been detained in the Qijiang Detention Center.
Ms. Fang Min is 46 years old. She used to be an accountant at the Labor Service Company in the No. 103 Factory of the Chongqing Smelting Group Limited. At the end of 2000, banners that read "Falun Dafa is good" were hung in Sanjiang Township. The police thought that Ms. Fang hung the banners and arrested her. She was taken to the Qijiang Detention Center and detained there for one month. Later, she was transferred to the local detention center and was held there for half a month. The detention center police asked for 5,000 yuan from Ms. Fang's husband in exchange for her release. Her husband didn't have the money, so the police had to release her.
In July 2001, policemen arrested Ms. Fang again, accusing her of organizing people to practice Falun Gong. They detained her in the Shijiao Town Police Station, where they handcuffed her to a window for 2 days and 2 nights. They later sent her to the county detention center. On July 20, Ms. Fang was sentenced to 2 years of forced labor and transferred to the Maojiashan Women Forced Labor Camp in the Jiangbei District, Chongqing City. During her detention there, she was put into solitary confinement and endured numerous physical tortures and beatings. When the police learned that Ms. Fang had declared the "transformation" statement she made in the past to be null and void, they were very upset. They ordered inmates who used to be drug addicts to forcibly administer unknown drugs to her. The drugs are believed to be very harmful to the central nervous system. Ms. Fang suffered tremendously and started vomiting and discharging blood.

6. [Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province] Practitioner Mr. Chen Hu Illegally Detained
Thirty-five year old practitioner Mr. Chen Hu, from Sichuan Province, was working in Oushui Town, Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province. He was arrested while at work, and was illegally detained in a detention center.
