Weifang City 610 Office Head Violated the Law without Restraint

On the evening of May 10, 2005, Weifang City 610 Office workers stormed into the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Sun Zhonghua and ransacked it without showing any documents. They stole his computer, his father's bankbook, 400 yuan in cash and some computer CDs before arresting him and taking him to the Fangzi District Detention Center. Because the family pressured them, the police released him after 28 days. However one day before the release, Li Chao (male) from the 610 Office extorted 5000 yuan in cash from Mr Sun's older sister without giving her a receipt. His wife asked the police to return their possessions and pointed out that it was illegal to ransack their home without going through the appropriate legal procedures. One 610 Office Head told her with a contemptuous look, "I am violating the law as a law enforcer. So what? I am unreasonable. What can you do to me?"

2. Several Falun Dafa Practitioners in Laiyang City, Hunan Province Arrested

Laiyang City state security agents or police officers arrested several Falun Dafa practitioners in Laiyang City, Hunan Province. On the morning of August 22, 2005, Mr. Xie Tingyi, 76 years old, and Mr. Wang Zichun, 73 years old, were both arrested, and sent to the Laiyang City State Security Division. They are now detained in the Laiyang City Detention Center. Right after that, state security agents arrested Mr. Zeng Xinman, in his 50s. On the morning of August 24, 2005, they also arrested Mr. Liao Gaoping, 41 years old, from his workplace, the Laiyang First High School, and ransacked his home.

3. Crimes Committed by the Police from Changsheng Station in the Dongfeng District, Jiamusi City

Since July 20, 1999, police from the Changsheng Station in the Dongfeng District, Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province have arrested Falun Dafa practitioners many times. Aunt Zhu, a practitioner over 70 years old, was arrested in the middle of the night and sent to a forced labor camp. The police totally ignored her family situation and left her paralyzed husband lying in bed without anyone to take care of him. The police also constantly harassed another female practitioner at her home. During 2002 and 2003, they pressured the practitioner and her husband and tried to force them to move. Because of this pressure, the practitioner's husband almost suffered a nervous breakdown, lost his rationality and often beat his wife.
