Nineteen practitioners arrested at the Honglang Garden in Harbin City on August 10, 2006, are still being held with extended prison terms.

3. [Lishu County, Jilin Province] Lishu County Court Sentences Practitioner Mr. Meng Xiangqi to Six Years in Prison

Officers Liu Feng and Liu Zhongping from the Lishu Town's Kangping Police Station broke into practitioner Mr. Meng Xiangqi's home and arrested him on September 8, 2006. They ransacked his home and confiscated some his personal belongings including 600 yuan in cash, a leather case with 200 yuan cash, a 400-yuan deposit card, and his identification card.

Lishu County Court put him on trial in secret on October 12, 2006. The court did not notify his family. The court audience were policemen or personnel from the local 610 Office. Special agent Li Changfu and policeman Wang Dejun were there. The practitioner was reportedly sentenced to six years in prison.

4. [Shaan County, Henan Province] Practitioner Mr. Zhang Xiaomin Extremely Skinny from Torture

Practitioner Mr. Zhang Xiaomin, 61 years old, a retired employee from the Sanmenxia City Railway Station, lives in Huang Village, Daying Town, Shaan County, Sanmenxia City, Henan Province. He was arrested at the Lingbao County Detention Center in early 2006. Mr. Zhang was healthy prior to the arrest and weighed only 80 kg. Having been subjected to six months of torture, he now weighs only 30 kg. He was sent to the Lingbao City Hospital on October 8, 2006. His family was informed two days later.

Practitioners Ms. Li Guilian and Mr. Liu Shemei from Huang Village were arrested from home and sent to the Zhengzhou City's Shibalihe Forced Labor Camp on September 29, 2006.

5. [Guangxi Autonomous Region] Persecution of Practitioner Ms. Zhang Ruiqun

Practitioner Ms. Zhang Ruiqun from Beihai City, Guangxi AR, went to Nanning City to appeal for Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, but was arrested and detained in a primary school. She was transferred to the local police station the next day. She practiced Falun Gong the morning of October 5 and was taken to the Jianshe Police Station. The authorities transferred her later to the city's police department. She was photographed under duress, fingerprinted, and interrogated. Then she was held at the No.2 Detention Center for 15 days.

The police took her away from her store on July 11, 2000. They interrogated and fingerprinted her. Afterwards they ransacked her home and put her into the No.2 Detention Center for 15 days.

Personnel from the Duxi Resident Committee and Haijiao Police Station arrested her and placed her in the city drug rehab center and tried to brainwash her for 26 days. She was subjected to brainwashing for three days in 1999.

9. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Practitioner Ms. Liu Xiuping Sentenced to Forced Labor

Ms. Liu Xiuping, an employee of the Water Supply Company in the Lanzhou City Railway System, started practicing Falun Gong in 1997. She had been sentenced to two years of forced labor in Beijing for appealing for Falun Gong in Beijing the end of 2000. She was released and returned to Lanzhou City in 2003.

Officials arrested her in Haishiwan for distributing truth-clarifying materials on April 30, 2006, and sent her later to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center. Her work place supervisor, Yang Zhexue, signed a document and fired her in early October. Following that she was sent to Gansu Province's Huating Prison.

Personnel from the Zaoyang City National Security Division and from the Taiping Town Police Station arrested her and ransacked her home on October 10, 2006. The head and deputy head of the hospital led police to Ms. Yu's home. Police confiscated all the cash and deposit certificates in Ms. Yu's home. They also confiscated 372 copies of truth-clarifying materials, a 1,677-yuan deposit certificate, and 3,500 yuan cash.

15. [Tianjin] Practitioner Ms. Fu Guiling Sentenced to Two Years of Forced Labor

Practitioner Ms. Fu Guiling is from Baoying Village, Huanghuadian Township, Wuqing District. She worked in Beijing and offered many sentient beings salvation by clarifying the truth to them. Someone ignorant of the truth of Falun Gong reported her to police that she had distributed truth-clarifying materials. Personnel from the Fengtai District Police Department and from the You'anmen Police Station arrested her at home and ransacked her place at 3:00 a.m. on July 20, 2006. They took her to the Lugouqiao Detention Center in the Fengtai District. Her two-year-old child was left at home. A family member went to the detention center to deliver some clothes for her, but duty room personnel said there was no such a person. Further inquiries determined that Ms. Fu had been transferred to the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp on September 13, 2006.

Some uniformed and plainclothes officers from the Xiaoguan Police Station broke into 53-year-old practitioner Ms. Wang Xiuqing's home at 6:00 p.m. on October 18, 2006. They attempted to arrest her. Ms. Wang went into another room facing the street and jumped from second floor. Some kind-hearted people nearby and a taxi-driver helped her to escape.

23. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Practitioners Ms. Jin Shuling (67 years old) and Ms. Yang Liyun (38 years old) from Xiyangzhuang Village, Liqizhuang Town, Sanhe City, went to Wangguozhuang Village in the neighboring county of Dachang Hui Nationality Autonomous County to write some truth-clarifying signs. Personnel from the Dachang County Police Department arrested them at 5:00 p.m. on October 12, 2006, and put them in a detention center. Ms. Yang was eventually put in the Langfang City Brainwashing Center for further persecution, and all her Falun Dafa books at home were confiscated.

Personnel from the 610 Office arrested five practitioners from Hekou Village, Longxu Town, Rongcheng City, Shandong Province, in the early morning of October 16, 2006. A policeman entered a practitioner's neighbor's home and arrested the neighbor, Ms. Cai Guiying, who was in panic. As the policeman dragged her away, Ms. Cai lost consciousness on the way to the local police station. She is presently being hospitalized.

In the meantime, a similar incident happened at Madao Town, Rongcheng City. The policemen actually held a practitioner's neighbor for five hours at a detention center. Furthermore, they also searched the neighbor's house.

27. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Practitioners Mr. Lu Hongyue and Mr. Zhang Chenglong Again Being Held

Mr. Lu Hongyue, born in 1963, was an accountant for the Linqu County Construction Bank. He began Falun Gong cultivation practice in February 1998 and benefited physically and mentally. After July 20, 1999, Mr. Lu was illegally arrested and held 11 times for clarifying the truth. He has been fined and his home has been searched several times. Police confiscated some of his Dafa books, truth-clarifying materials, a personal computer, a record player, and a cell phone, all worth nearly 10,000 yuan. He was sentenced to three years of forced labor in October 2000. While he was detained, the bank fired him.

When Mr. Lu accompanied practitioner Mr. Zhang Chenglong home to clarify the truth on October 11, 2006, he was again arrested and is presently being held at the Linqu County Detention Center. Policemen went to his wife's store to extort money the next afternoon. It was only then his family discovered that Mr. Lu had been arrested. Practitioners Mr. Lu and Mr. Zhang are being held at a detention center.
