Disabled Person Recuperates after Practicing Falun Dafa
Mr. Zheng Rongchang is a 56-year-old man from Wangzhuang Village, Chengguan Town, Li County, Hebei Province. He began practicing Falun Gong in 1998. Before he began practicing Falun Gong,he had several illnesses and underwent two surgeries on his right eye for ingrown eyelashes. He later developed glaucoma and frequently suffered painful swelling in his eyeballs, which affected the nerves and caused pain on half of his face. His neck muscles were tight, and he had unbearable headaches, as well as nausea and frequent vomiting, while his eyesight continually worsened. He could not read or watch movies and television, and was extremely sensitive to bright lights. He felt miserable. He had two operations, which did not help. He often had anal fistula and urinary tract infections, and the pain was hard to endure. He also caught colds frequently. Since the age of eight, he had chronic bedsores on his sacroiliac bone that were not treatable. Because he came from a poor family and could not afford to seek medical help, the sores often oozed pus. Sometimes the condition got better, sometimes it got worse, but it never healed. He also suffered from osteomyelitis in his lower leg, thus he could not move the leg freely. He could not sit straight, squat, nor bend over, and was in pain during humid days. His thigh hurt whenever he stood for a long time, and he could not walk well.
Mr. Zheng could hardly work with so many illnesses, yet he was the sole provider of the household. His wife was mentally unwell, and they have a young daughter. He had to take care of everything at home and on the farm. Life was bitter and difficult, and the future seemed bleak for someone who had so many chronic illnesses. Zheng Rongchang spent a lot of money learning different qigong practices, but they were all ineffective.
After Zheng Rongchang began practicing Falun Gong, his illnesses all disappeared. Before the practice, he had a weak body and no energy. Now he is strong, energetic, and in good spirits. He can easily perform any laborious task, and is full of vigor and confident about life. He is sincerely grateful to Master Li and Dafa for the enormous changes in his life, and is thus determined to measure himself with the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," and to become a person who thinks of others before he thinks of himself and who has high moral values. In his cultivation, Mr. Zheng continuously rids himself of shortcomings and mistakes that do not conform with "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." He previously competed with others for profits, and whenever he had conflicts, he did not look inward, and did not tolerate or yield to others. He was not kind to his wife and always complained about her inability to take care of the home. He was often angry at her, and scolded and beat her. Ever since he started cultivating, he has completely changed his attitude toward his wife. When he encounters problems, he is more understanding, forgiving, sympathetic, and tolerant toward her. He stopped being angry at her, scolding and beating her. These are the enormous changes he underwent after starting his cultivation in Falun Dafa. Therefore, Zheng Rongchang is determined to continue practicing Dafa and to be strict with himself, so that he can become more pure, benevolent, and a better person.
The Return of the "Prodigal Son" after Practicing Falun Dafa
Mr. Zhao Yanlai is a practitioner from Nanguan, Li County. Because of his firm belief in Falun Dafa, he was persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and was forced to become destitute and homeless for the past six years.
Zhao Yanlai was an employee at a cement factory (now a wrap knitting factory) in Li County. He had many illnesses including serious hepatitis, gastritis, and neurasthenia before practicing Falun Dafa. He was on medication year round and drank every day. Every time he drank, he would cause trouble. He once struck the unit secretary in the face and had also injured a customer and the relative of a factory staff member. He also often scolded and beat his wife, which caused tension in his marriage.
In August 1995 (of the lunar calendar), Zhao Yanlai was fortunate to learn Falun Dafa. Ever since, he has been free of illnesses and has become healthy. He quit drinking, smoking, and gambling. He stopped cursing at and hitting people, and his marriage has also improved. He has completely changed his view on life, and measures himself and everything he does with the principles of"Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance."
One day, Mr. Zhao Yanlai brought a cart full of items he previously took from the factory and returned them to the factory. He said, "These are the things I stole before. Now that I practice Falun Gong, Teacher instructs me to be a good person, so I'm returning them." Everyone who was present gave him a thumb up and said, "Falun Gong is truly good, it made Yanlai a good person, like the return of a prodigal son."
On July 20, 1999, the evil party began the extensive persecution of Falun Gong. Zhao Yanlai, in accordance with the rights granted by the Chinese Constitution, went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong and to speak the truth about Falun Gong. However, he was illegally detained at the Li County detention center for two weeks.
In the winter of 1999, Mr. Zhao Yanlai used his real name and wrote a letter to the State Council's Office of Appeals about how his body and mind benefited from practicing Falun Gong. He was subsequently illegally arrested by Li County National Guard member Chen Guixing, and sent to the county jail for two months.
At 1:00 a.m. on February 1, 2001, Zhu Bin, from the Chengguan Police Department, lead four to five people, climbed over the wall, entered the room, and illegally arrested Zhao Yanlai. They confiscated his Dafa books, a tape recorder, a meditation mat, and a flashlight. Zhu Bin, from the Chengguan Police Department, interrogated Zhao Yanlai.He was later illegally sentenced to forced labor at Baoding Labor Camp.
Femoral Head Necrosis Healed Without any Treatment
I am over seventy years old, and am a farmer from Li County, Hebei Province. I once had many illnesses, including gastric illness, dizziness, heart problems, and stock bone necrosis that caused great difficulty in my movements. I had trouble moving, sitting, and lying down. If I wanted to turn my body while sleeping, I had to first sit up, then turn my body around. It was very painful, and I felt miserable. The doctor said that femoral head necrosis is not a deadly form of cancer, but that the only way to cure it is to replace the femoral head. The bone replacement made in China costs 20,000 yuan, the imported ones cost more than 20,000 yuan. The total is about 50,000 to 60,000 yuan, including charges for hospitalization. I pondered my options for a while, but did not have the money for the surgery. Thus, I took many forms of medication, but they were ineffective. Later, someone from the village said to me, "Why don't you practice Falun Gong? I've been practicing for nearly ten years and all my illnesses are cured. I have not taken any medication since beginning cultivation. I'm almost 70 years old and have a healthy body." I did not really believe him at the time. I thought if Falun Gong was that good, then why is the government suppressing it at all costs?
When the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published the end of last year, I read it in detail. The Nine Commentaries offers a systematic evaluation of the Chinese Communist Party andthoroughly analyzes and exposes the CCP's nature, its beginnings, the party culture, its tyrannical rule, its history of killing, its hoodlum characteristics, and its anti-universe cult-like force. The book allowed me to clearly see the true essence of the Communist Party. Thus, I decided to withdraw from the evil party. It was not until then that I remembered my fellow villager's words.
In January 2005, I earnestly began to study the Fa and practice the exercises. I read the book Zhuan Falun and other lectures from Teacher Li. After reading Zhuan Falun a few times, I understood the meaning of life, and I measured my speech and actions according to the principles of"Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." Although I have not been studying the Fa and practicing the exercises for a long time, all of my illnesses are healed, I am no longer in pain, and I can move with ease. I went to the hospital for an examination and found out that my stock bone necrosis had completely disappeared. I can now ride my bicycle for several dozen kilometers without any problem. I'm grateful to Teacher and Dafa.
After Practicing Falun Dafa, a Stock Bone Necrosis was Healed
I'm a 72-year-old farmer from Liwu Town, Li County. Prior to practicing Dafa, I had heart disease, anxiety attacks, shortness of breath, and low energy. About ten years ago, I suffered from leg pain. According to the county doctor's report, I had rheumatoid arthritis and osteophytosis. I followed the prescriptions and continuously had injections, medications, and fluid infusions. But my illness did notimprove, and I experienced more pain. I had trouble walking, and going to bed was even more trying. I suffered year round and felt miserable. Later, I had no choice but to go to a hospital in Beijing. They found that I had stock bone necrosis. The doctor said, "Your illness cannot be cured with medication. We can only perform a bone replacement operation, and it will cost over 60,000 yuan including hospitalization." I jokingly said to the doctor, "You think an old man like me is worth 60,000-plus yuan?" The doctor smiled and replied, "You really don't have a choice, the operation is the only alternative. You'll continue to suffer if you do not have the operation."
In the spring of 2005, I picked up a few flyers about Falun Dafa at my doorstep, and I read them carefully. They talked about how practicing the exercises can heal one's body, and about how to be a good person. They said that when encountering conflicts, one should look inward, and measure oneself using the principles of"Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." The flyers also stated that many people with chronic illnesses had been cured, and some miraculously recovered from terminal illnesses after practicing Falun Gong. There were also people whose family relationships became harmonious after they began cultivation.
After reading the flyers, I was so emotional that tears rolled down my face. At that point I began to cultivate in Falun Dafa. Now my legs feel light and my heart no longer feels any pressure or anxiety. After practicing for one month, my legs no longer hurt. I discarded hundreds of yuan worth of medication. Falun Dafa has truly saved me! Falun Dafa is so miraculous! I'm sincerely grateful to Teacher and Dafa.
A Miraculous Story
There is a 75-year-old practitioner from Beichen Village, Liwu Town, Li County, Hebei Province, who started practicing Falun Gong in 1998. He has been cultivating continuously and he firmly believes in Dafa and Teacher. He is very healthy. Every day he rides on a donkey-drawn cart to work on the farm, taking care of a dozen acres of land at his old age.
On the afternoon of May 10, 2004 (of the lunar calendar), he and his wife rode home on their donkey cart after they finished their farm work. On the way home, there was a villager who was digging out a telephone pole that was no longer in use. The villager's horse carriage blocked the road, so the old man had to stop. Suddenly, the telephone pole fell toward his donkey cart while the elderly couple were still sitting on it. Surprisingly, the pole fell in between the elderly couple and the donkey. The pole broke into three pieces, but the couple and the donkey were not hurt at all. The villager was dumbfounded, but the old man knew in his heart that it was Teacher who was protecting him!
2. A Village Head in Li County Is Rewarded for Protecting Falun Dafa Practitioners
In 1999, in a village in Li County, officials arrested all the practitioners from the village and sent them to the Xinxing Township government. Later, the head of the village called the township government and askedthem to releasethe practitioners. At that time, a practitioner told the village head, "Because you spoke justly about Dafa, your foot will be alright." This village head had suffered from vasculitis for many years, and a section of his toe had already been amputated. The doctor wanted to amputate his limb, but he had refused. For many years, he could not wear shoes. Because this man was brave andspoke justly for Falun Dafa practitioners under tremendous pressure, he was able to wear shoes in less than a month. When he was able to do so, he gave a thumbs-up, stamped his foot, and said to a practitioner, "See! I'm fine now!"
