1. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Tan Xiuying Suffers Mental Collapse Due to Torture

Ms. Tan Xiuying is illegally jailed at the Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp. On March 5, 2008, her relatives went to visit her and found her mentally unstable as a result of the persecution.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhu Shuyun Brutally Beaten

In May 2007, Ms. Zhu Shuyun was taken away and illegally jailed in the No. 2 Group of Changchun Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp. Upon her arrival, she was beaten and tied to the Death Bed. As a result, she needed to be sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. During the Chinese New Year holiday, Ms. Zhu was force-fed. She is still being held in the forced labor camp.

3. [Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Yingjie Illegally Imprisoned at Heizuizi Women's Prison

Ms. Zhao Yingjie, a practitioner from Jilin City, was arrested by the National Security Squad of Jilin City Public Security Bureau and sent to the Police Dogs Training Center to be tortured. Later, she was jailed at the Jilin City Detention Center, where she developed serious illnesses and was sent to the Police Hospital for treatment. Zhao Yingjie is now jailed at Jilin Province Women's Prison.

5. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chen Junli and Others Arrested

On August 7, 2007, at 6:00 p.m., five policemen, led by Ma Dawei, deputy director of the Gujian Police Station, Pingdu City, Shandong Province, arrested practitioners Ms. Chen Junli, Ms. Zhang Chunting and Ms. Xiao Sumin from Chen Juli's home in Donggezhuang Village. The police also found and seized cash, truth-clarification materials, a satellite TV dish, and other items.

The practitioners were held at the local police station for a day before they were transferred to Pingdu Public Security Bureau for further detention. The practitioners went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. After returning home, the police attempted to send them to a forced labor camp. The practitioners were forced to leave their home to avoid rearrest and further persecution.

On February 1, 2008, Ms. Chen Junli went home for the Chinese New Year. Gujian Police Station sent out half a dozen police officers, who climbed over the walls to get to her home and arrested her. They sent her directly to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp for two years, where Ms. Jiang Xiquan and Ms. Wang Xiyu are also being jailed.

6. [Liaoning Province] One Hundred and Fifty Detained Practitioners Transferred to Beizhen City from Other Locations

At the beginning of February 2008, about 150 Falun Gong practitioners were transferred to Beizhen City from other locations. Some of them are jailed at the Beizhen City Detention Center, and the whereabouts of the other practitioners are unknown.

7. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Supplementary Information about Illegally Jailed Ms. Zhang Xueling

At 6:00 a.m. on March 5, 2008, policemen from Beidawangzhuang Police Station of Gaomi City and staff from Gaomi City 610 Office ransacked practitioner Zhang Xueling's home and took away her computer and Falun Dafa books. They also arrested her husband Liu Hui, who is now jailed at Gaomi Detention Center.

8. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wei Xingjun Illegally Arrested

Wei Xingyan, 25 year old, from Shimazhuang Village, Duozhuang Township, Mengyin County, Shandong Province, was a teacher at Weihai City Foreign Language Institute. At a recruitment session for new teachers at the institute in April 2004, Wei Xingjun "clarified the truth" to someone, who reported him to Weihai City Public Security Bureau.

At 10:00 a.m. on April 12, 2004, eight policemen from the Weihai City Public Security Bureau and the local 610 Office searched Wei Xingjun's dormitory without a search warrant. They took away Falun Dafa books and some truth-clarification materials, and a cellular phone and arrested Wei Xingjun. He has been held at the Weihai Detention Center for 9 months now. He was later sentenced to 5 years in prison. In January 2005, he was transferred to Jinan City Men's Prison and is still imprisoned there.

9. [Zhuolu County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Xiufeng Arrested

On March 6, 2008, Ms. Zhao Xiufeng was reported to the authorities while she was clarifying the truth. Police from Zhuolu County, Chengzhen Police Station arrested and detained her at the Zhuolu County Detention Center.

10. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ba Huiyin Illegally Sentenced

Ms. Ba Huiyin, who is 46 year old, worked for the municipal government as a section head. She was arrested while distributing truth-clarification materials and sentenced to 21 months of imprisonment by the Langfang Court. On February 3, 2008, she was sent to Shijiazhuang Women's Prison.

11. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Fengying Arrested for the Third Time

Ms. Li Fengying, 55 years old, from Xi'an City, was arrested on her way to a friend's house in Ankang on March 5, 2008 by the National Security Squad of Hanbin Public Security Bureau in Ankang. She is now jailed at Hanbin Detention Center in Ankang.

12. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. He Jing Illegally Sentenced

On February 29, 2008, the Maonan District Court in Maoming City sentenced Ms. He Jing to five years of imprisonment and sent her to Huadu Women's Prison for persecution. Her family has appealed to the mid-level court.

Ms. He Jing vomited blood at the detention center as a result of mistreatment.

13. [Chongqing City] Ms. Zhang Jun Secretly Arrested by the National Security Squad

Ms. Zhang Jun, 60 year old, of Dashiba, Jiangbei District, Chongqing City, a retiree from Chang'an Automobile Factory in Chongqing City, was secretly arrested near the end of 2007. She was illegally jailed at Jiangbei District Detention Center in Chongqing City. Recently, she was sent to Chongqing City Women's Forced Labor Camp, leaving an ill son at home with no one available to care for him.

14. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Yaqin Illegally Detained

On March 2, 2008 at 4:00 p.m., fifty-four-year-old Ms. Zhang Yaqin, a practitioner from 236 Group, Bantangpu, Xiangtan City, was arrested in her apartment building by National Security Squad personnel, who also ransacked her home. She is now jailed at the Xiangtan Detention Center.

15. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

On February 26, 2008, several practitioners were clarifying the truth in Pingtian, Dongyang Township, Hengyang City. The Dongyang Township Police Station sent out several officers to arrest them. On the same evening, one of the practitioners walked out of the police station, and another was taken home by his family. The other two were sent to Baishazhou Detention Center for a week.

16. [Jinchang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Mao Wei and Other Practitioners Illegally Sentenced

In December 2007, Mr. Mao Wei was sentenced to 6 years in prison. Ms. Fu Lingwen, Ms. Liu Guiju, Ms. Yao Furong, and Ms. Cao Fang were sentenced to four years, and Mr. Cai Yong was sentenced to 42 months' imprisonment.

17. [Chenzhou County, Hunan Province] Ms. Cao Linying Illegally Jailed at Yongxing Detention Center

Ms. Cao Linying is illegally jailed at Yongxing Detention Centre. On March 7, Ms. Cao Linying's relatives went to Yongxing County to demand her release and were threatened by the authorities.

Xinyue Union Automobile Company Ltd. runs a taxi and tourism business. In their recruitment policy, they require proof from the local police station to confirm that job applicants do not practice Falun Gong. The rule is also in the personnel policy.
