(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Cui Zhanxiang lives in Liangdun Village, Botou City, Hebei Province. He was arrested in May 2006, and released after the police extorted money from his family. In June 2008, the Botou City Court issued an arrest warrant, accusing him of being "on the run." Mr. Cui has now been held for over three months. The detention center feeds him insufficient food, and he is emaciated and no longer strong enough to sit up.

His family has asked to visit him numerous times but they have been refused by the detention center. A guard claimed, "We received the orders from above, in order to ensure safety for the Olympic Games, all visits are suspended until further notice." It is harvest season, and Mr. Cui's thirteen acres of corn are ripe, but no one is available to harvest them.
