(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Lin Zehua was sentenced to one year of forced labor in 2001 for his belief in Falun Gong. In September 2002, he was sentenced to three years of forced labor but was released on bail after three months in a detention center. In February 2004, Mr. Lin was sentenced to three years of forced labor in Anshan City, Liaoning Province. This time, he was held in Haicheng City Detention Center for three months and in the Anshan City Forced Labor Camp for three months before he was released for medical treatment.

On September 12, 2007, Lin Zehua was arrested by Shuangyashan City Domestic Security Division agents. During the arrest, the agents hit and kicked him in the head. At midnight, Mr. Lin was taken to the Youyi Detention Center, where he was detained for almost seven months. During that time, Director Cai Yongde (male) took him to Youyi County Hospital to be force-fed.

On April 10, 2008, Mr. Lin was taken to the intensive training ward of Qitaihe Prison, where inmate Liang Guangcheng forced him to stand and walk in military fashion for a long time.

On July 10, 2008, he was transferred to Jiamusi City Prison. At the time, due to the abuse he had already been subjected to, Mr. Lin was quite weak. Although he could still take care of himself, he could barely walk was not able to do physical labor. He was assigned to the Second Division of the Fifth Ward. As soon as he arrived, he was pressured to write statements to give up Falun Gong. He refused.

To exert more pressure on Mr. Lin, Lai Baohua (male), chief of the division, and Wang Lianyu (male), political instructor, placed him under strict monitoring--no phone calls to family members or family visits. After September 7, 2008, they no longer allowed him to buy daily necessities.

On October 16, 2008, commander Lai Baohua assigned inmate Li Yansong (male) as Mr. Lin's personal monitor, and restricted others from contacting or helping Mr. Lin. Mr. Lin had difficulty walking but was forced to walk to the prison's workshop to work.

From October 17 to November 7, 2008, Mr. Lin worked in the workshop daily. It took him half an hour to walk the 0.3 miles to the workshop. On the morning of November 7, 2008, Li Yansong dragged Mr. Lin because he was moving slowly. Mr. Lin was thrown on the floor of the hallway. Lai Baohua came and asked, "Are you ready to write the Three Statements?" Mr. Lin replied no. Lai said, "Keep moving if you won't write the Three Statements." It took Mr. Lin 35 minutes to walk another 0.1 miles, where he stopped. He could not walk any further.

Since then, Mr. Lin has no longer been able to move his legs. Once he lay down, he could not sit up or roll over. Lai Baohua ordered Li Yansong to threaten Mr. Lin, saying that if he did not write the statements, they wouldn't send anyone to help him.

After his frequent requests, Mr. Lin was finally taken to the hospital affiliated with the prison to see a doctor in December 2008. Although he was paralyzed and could not take care of himself, the doctor had the audacity to say that he was OK.

Later, Li Zehua's family paid for him to be examined at an outside hospital. But the prison administration did not allow any of his family members to be present during the exam. The administration did not disclose the doctor's diagnosis to his family, but claimed that the doctor did not find anything wrong. Despite there being no "diagnosis," Mr. Lin was paralyzed. The administration accused Mr. Lin of pretending and denied him any medical treatment or special care.

Before he was detained in Jiamusi Prison, although Mr. Lin had difficulty walking, he still could take care of himself. But when the administrators of the prison forced him to work in the workshop, within just 20 days, he was paralyzed. Instead of investigating Li Yansong, the prison administrators ignored his inhuman abuse of Mr. Lin.

Presently, Mr. Lin has completely lost the ability of take care of himself. Those responsible think that their inhuman persecution of Falun Gong practitioners inside the prison is unknown to the outside world. Under orders from, and with the support of Chinese Communist Party officials, they have been unscrupulous in persecuting practitioners.
