Section I

For some time now, I have had the feeling that time has accelerated that on many occasions it has elapsed before I can get anything done. With a sense of urgency and wanting the fleeting time to stand still, unfinished jobs were piling up. Time, however, as if on its own mission, never bothers to wait for me. Under these circumstances, I came to understand that I did not use time well and have lost so many opportunities that I could have used to save sentient beings. I asked myself, "What is the reason for such a loophole? Then it dawned on me, "Right! It must be the lack of a collective environment amenable to truth-clarification." The result of my slacking off was because of the fact that I had long been on my own making truth-clarification phone-calls.

With a better understanding of the importance to have a collective truth-clarification environment, I suggested to my fellow practitioners that we should set up such an environment. With their help and coordination, we finally arranged a schedule and place. From 2:00 - 4:30 pm, 5 days a week, we would study the Fa for one hour and use the rest of the time to make collective phone calls. Anyone who wants to learn can come to join to make phone calls to save people.

Section II

After several discussions, we agreed to a "system" for the collective call center. There would be two groups of people. One group would be the practitioners who have already know how to do it and would take turns making the phone calls. They can listen the contents others talked and correct their own mistakes, so the people who answered the phone would be more willing to listen. The other group consisted of beginners who would start with speaking a few sentences. They would "advance" towards the first group once they became more experienced. After some time, practitioners felt that such an environment was needed because making phone calls alone from home could easily be interfered with and as a result was likely to be not make the calls. This environment requires people to be more proactive in making phone calls and provided a stable cultivation environment that could correct mistakes. It is so wonderful to be purified like this on a daily basis!

Section III

Making calls alone at home versus making collective calls, I have found that a collective environment such as this tends to expose one's shortcomings, helps one go beyond the constraints of self, and is conducive to maximizing the power of the one body.

For instance, a public space could set off one's fear which manifests itself in one's unwillingness to be perceived as inarticulate, inappropriate, irresponsive, etc. It is incumbent on us to let go of all kinds of reservations and concerns and only by doing so could we go beyond the tiny "me" ro effectively save sentient beings. These kinds of reservations and concerns were not apparent or identifiable were it not for this collective environment of ours.

We all have moments of being "tongue-tied" when we make phone-calls alone. As a result, the call recipient would simply hang up and forfeit a chance of being saved. Making collective calls could amend such hindrances. Other practitioners naturally pick up the conversation when one practitioner got "stuck" on the phone in truth-clarification. This isn't possible when making calls on one's own. We would encounter all kinds of call recipients: Some would quit the Party, some would remain silent, some would refuse to quit, some would simply start to curse, some would speak in a heavy accent and some would suggest that text messaging would be more convenient. With these various and diverse responses, if one is making phone calls at home alone, one could easily give up by comforting oneself with the thought that maybe the same listener would quit the Party when they meet the next fellow practitioner. However, in the circumstance of a collective environment, everyone would try to put in their maximum effort. This environment is suffused with great compassion, the sense that we should treasure the time given to us to save more beings and wisdom of the myriad of methods Master has demonstrated to us.

Such experiences bespeak of the importance of a collective phone truth-clarification environment. If each area could operate such a call center on a daily basis, I would think that whether with regards to different understandings of the Fa, coordination among practitioners, or familial conflicts, we would have an expedited way to resolve any issues at hand.
