I am a teacher, and have taught first-grade mathematics since September 2007. I feel that every student of mine has a predestined relationship with me, so I must let every child know "Falun Dafa is good, Truth-Compassion-Forbearance' is good."

Several days after the beginning of the school year, I wrote the three words "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" on the blackboard. I first had the children read these words and then I explained the meaning of every word to them. "Truthfulness" means telling the truth, doing things truthfully and fulfilling your promises. "Compassion" is to think of others, help others, and be a kind and good. "Forbearance" is to forgive and be tolerant of others, not beat people, not curse at people and get along with others. Within a few days, one of my colleagues told me something one of her colleagues' relatives had said. That person said that a teacher told the students about Falun Gong and threatened to report this teacher. She asked if it was me and then warned me to be careful and not bring troubles upon myself. I felt sad for the parents who did not know the truth. I believed that these children were the beacons for me to reach their parents. I am a practitioner and it is my responsibility to clear up those parents' misconceptions about Falun Gong, so they would be saved. Therefore, I asked all children to give me their addresses.

Later, I visited every student's parents after school or during the weekend. Before I went out, I sent righteous thoughts to clear all evil lives and factors that interfered with them and kept them from understanding the truth. Sometimes, I took a student's work or an examination paper with me and confidently approached the parents. I only wanted what was best for these parents and children.

After arriving, I talked about their child's study record. Then, I told them about the child's other performances. I shared with them what is best for educating children and proposed ways to help children with their homework. After I felt that they had a good first impression and felt that I truly wanted the best for their child, I would tell them that I practice Falun Dafa. I would go on to say, "Because of your child we met, so I really cherish this opportunity. I'm only thinking of the future happiness of your entire family. It is my responsibility to help you understand the truth." Then, based on their response, I would use different ways to approach the subject of Falun Gong. I spoke of the benefits, the persecution, and Falun Dafa's spreading widely outside China. I told them about the quitting the Communist Party and urged them not to miss this one-in-a-life-time chance. I also gave them the type of truth-clarification materials I felt would help them the most. As I am their child's teacher, most of parents were quite polite, and the effect was quite good each time. However, there were also parents who were standoffish, but it did not worry me. I knew deep in my heart that I am not only here as their child's teacher, but also I'm grasping the opportunity to save people.

When involved with this effort, I paid special attention to the general teaching process, that is, "teaching and nurturing people." It is my responsibility, to treat each child kindly and be tolerant at all times. Everything I do, I keep in mind the guidance provided by Dafa, use good language and influence children as a practitioner, so they have good thoughts in their minds. This way, I hoped that the parents gain a good impression of me through their children.

I told the children that they should always remember "Falun Dafa is good," and "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is good." I told them some cultivation stories, and almost all of my students received a Falun Gong amulet (1). I told them, "Go home and tell your parents that your teacher gave you this amulet with the wish that you are safe, remain healthy and grow up joyfully." I have never again heard of a negative reaction by the parents.

Note:

(1) In China, practitioners sometimes clarify the truth by giving people something small to wear or cherish, bearing a few words reminding them of the goodness of Dafa.
