(Clearwisdom.net) (Minghui correspondant in Shandong Province) Mr. Cheng Yunchang had cancer but it was cured after he began to practice Falun Gong. When the Chinese Communist Party defamed Falun Gong, he told people how he had benefited from practicing it. As a result, he was arrested by the Xintai City National Security police and has been detained for around two weeks.
Mr. Cheng was diagnosed with cancer about three years ago; the hospital gave up treating him. While his family was preparing for his funeral, they found some Falun Gong material in front of his home. The material told about cases where people sincerely said, "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance is good" and were rewarded with blessings. Mr. Cheng's family read the material to him. He listened and began to repeat the sentences sincerely in his heart. His health improved quickly, beyond everyone's expectation. His family was very surprised and started to inquire everywhere how to practice Falun Gong. Eventually they found a set of cassette tapes of the Fa lectures in Jinan City by Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa. Mr. Cheng's situation kept improving after he started studying the Fa. Now he is completely healthy.
On July 26, 2009, Mr. Cheng went to a local market place in Xinwen City to tell people his personal experience of how he benefited from practicing Falun Gong. He was reported to the local authorities and arrested by police from the Xintai City National Security Team. They took him to his and his son's home in Qiaozhuang Village, Dongdu Town, to search it. The search did not produce any "evidence." When the police found out that Mr. Cheng usually lives at his daughter's home, they took him to his daughter's home in the employee residence community of the Xinwen City Pole Factory. The police searched the home and found the cassette tapes of the Fa lectures in Jinan City and a broken photocopy machine. They used these items as an excuse to detain Mr. Cheng in the Xintai City Detention Center, where he remains.
