Solemn Declaration

My wife practices Falun Gong. I believed the Chinese Communist Party's lies after it began persecuting Falun Gong in 1999. I did many things against Falun Gong. The police came to my home to confiscate Falun Gong books after July 20, 1999. While my wife was away appealing for justice for Falun Gong, I gave the police all of the books that my wife carefully kept, which was about 50 books.

She petitioned at the National Appeals Office at the end of 1999, to inform the officials about the facts of Falun Gong, and was detained for one month. During this time, a practitioner came to my home looking for my wife. I beat him violently and called a helper over to assist me in this assault. A person saw that the practitioner's face was covered in blood and his eyeglasses had shattered, so he advised me to stop hitting him.

The practitioner simply stood there enduring my attack. He never struck back.

My wife was eventually arrested for delivering Falun Gong materials to other practitioners and was sentenced to six years in prison. I was afraid of being implicated as well, so I went to the prison and divorced her there and took all of our jointly-owned money and possessions and the house, which was registered under her name.

After she was released from prison my wife was penniless and without a job or pension. She got by finding what she needed among things others had discarded. However, she never uttered a word of anger or resentment. Instead, she kept explaining Falun Gong to me and asked me to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. I did.

Now, I solemnly announce that everything I have ever said and done against Falun Gong is completely void. I firmly believe that Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. I will tell people that Falun Dafa is good.

Solemn Announcement

I am in my 70s. My daughter-in-law is a Dafa practitioner. She left Dafa books at my home. The police came to my village in June 2009 and arrested a practitioner from my village. They threatened me saying, "Turn in all Dafa-related stuff from your home; if you don't and we find it using our scanner, we'll charge you the same as a Dafa practitioner." I was terrified and burned all the Dafa books in the middle of the night.

I hereby announce that everything I have done against Dafa is completely void. I beg forgiveness from the Master of Dafa. From now on I will distinguish right from wrong, good from evil and become a good person in accordance with Truth-Compassion-Forbearance.
