(Clearwisdom.net) Officers from the Wenfeng District Domestic Security Division in Anyang City broke into Ms. Shi Yan'e's home on the morning of September 23, 2009. They arrested Ms. Shi and Ms. Wu Qingchai, who was at her home. An eyewitness said that more than a dozen police officers in several police vehicles arrived at Ms. Shi's home. They also called for a locksmith to force open the door, and took a computer and other items. An officer body-searched Ms. Wu and confiscated the key to her home, and then ransacked her home when nobody in her family was present.
Ms. Shi's husband had suffered tremendous mental torment because of the persecution. He suddenly fell ill about two weeks ago and died. His family went to the Wenfeng District Domestic Security Division and Procuratorate to demand Ms. Shi's release, or to at least allow her to attend her husband's funeral, but the authorities rejected the family's request. Several days later, they transferred documents used as "evidence" against Ms. Shi to the court, attempting to sentence her to three to seven years in prison.
Ms. Shi and Ms. Wu have been held at the Anyang Detention Center for over three months. The authorities have filed a lawsuit against them with the Wenfeng District Court.
We have learned that Ms. Shi and Ms. Wu refused to accept the court's prosecution material, and also spoke with relevant officials about Falun Gong and the persecution.
