Solemn Declaration

Agents of the Chinese Communist Party illegally arrested me on May 10, 2004. They seized Teacher's photos, Dafa books, a TV set, DVD player, tape recorder, and some other properties and money from my home. I was sentenced to eight years in prison. During my persecution in the prison, the police forced me to ask a non-practitioner to write the "three statements" to guarantee that I would stop practicing Falun Gong. Through Fa-study I realized later on that I have committed an inexorable crime. I hereby solemnly declare that all my previous words and actions shall be nullified. I will follow closely the proceedings of Teacher's Fa-rectification and do the three things well.

Solemn Declaration

The police officers came and ransacked my home and arrested me. The next day they took me from the police station to the detention center. At the detention center, they sentenced my to two years of forced labor and later took me to the forced labor camp. In the camp, the police and their assistants forced me to write the "three statements". I refused. The police then asked the assistants to lock me in a small room to torture me. They placed restrictions on water and restroom usage, and only allowed me two to three hours of sleep every night. They poured water over my face when I fell asleep. Sometimes they deprived me of sleep entirely, and kicked me as soon as I closed my eyes. They choked me and made it difficult for me to eat, forced me to sit on the edge of a little bench that bruised my hip. As time went on, I was not able to withstand the torture. Add the fact that I did not study Fa well, I ended up writing the "three statements". I hereby solemnly declare that the "three statements" that I wrote shall be nullified. I will study Fa and do the three things that Teacher wants us to do well, so that I can compensate for the harm that I did to Dafa. I will steadfastly believe in Teacher and Dafa, and cultivate until I succeed.
