(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Castillo, a university student and dance and music enthusiast, attended the January 2 Shen Yun performance at the San Francisco War Memorial Opera House.

Commenting on the flawless synchronization of the dancers and the music, she said, "It was really wonderful to see the dance and the cultural side [of Chinese history]. I really liked it!"

Being a violinist, Ms. Castillo had a deep appreciation for how the live orchestra blended traditional Chinese with classical Western instruments. She said, "I think it was wonderful, the erhu combined with the violins; it's great!

"The erhu soloist, she was really good. I enjoyed it. It sounded spectacular!"

"Great show, great show!"

Mr. Russell, a TV producer, was thoroughly impressed by the Shen Yun performance saying, "Great show, great show! Lots of color, lots of dancing, lots of fun!"

"Awesome, very nice," said Mr. Russell commenting on the Shen Yun dancers, adding, "They make it look effortless."

Mrs. Russell enjoyed seeing the different Chinese minority and ethnic dances, saying, "I love it. I love seeing some of the different areas like the Mongolian and the Tibetan dance. So it is neat seeing the different cultures."

Mr. and Mrs. Russell were not expecting to see the contemporary scenes from China in the piece, "Nothing Can Block the Divine Path," in which a family is persecuted for their belief in Falun Dafa, a peaceful spiritual discipline. "I think it was a nice surprise," said Mrs. Russell. Mr. Russell said he was deeply moved by this dance set.

"It was fully stimulating!"

Ms. Chainey, a university film and dance student was also in attendance.

She particularly enjoyed the dancers and the clarity of the story line, saying, "I thought it was very well-carried out. The story was always clear, which is the most important thing to me, and visually it was fully stimulating, with the costumes and the colors!"

Ms. Chainey mentioned that she would share her experience with friends of hers who also enjoy traditional Chinese dance.

"The dancing, the color was fantastic!"

Mr. O'Connor, a jewelry store owner, thought that the show was fantastic. He especially enjoyed the dance sets that focused on people in contemporary China being persecuted for their spiritual beliefs.

Mr. O'Connor expressed his deep appreciation for the dance skills needed to perform the many difficult jumps and movements.

An art student in his youth, he said, "So I appreciate all the blending of the scenery with the clothing and the garments that they wear. I have a trained eye."
