(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 21 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this report, 11 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 17 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ma Lili Held at Tangshan City No. 1 Detention Center
At noon on August 16, 2010, Ms. Ma Lili was stopped by traffic police for distributing information about Falun Gong. She was arrested by police from Jianshe Road Police Station, Lubei District, and Tangshan City. She was held at the Changning Road Detention Center of Lubei District for 15 days, before being transferred to the Tangshan City No. 1 Detention Center.

2. [Heilongjiang Province] Hao Yaohua Mistreated in Jiamusi Prison
Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Hao Yaohua, detained at Jiamusi Prison, is over 60 years old. On October 25, 2010, Mr. Hao asked if he could stop working because he had a backache. However, Liu Bo, head of Squadron No. 1, Division No. 2, forced Hao to keep working, which aggravated Mr. Hao's backache. The next morning, Mr. Hao again asked Liu Bo if he could be excused from work. Liu Bo still disapproved, and ordered several prisoners to ensure that Mr. Hao kept working.
3. [Lanxi County, Heilongjiang Province] Feng Shuzhen and Zhang Hua Arrested
Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Feng Shuzhen and Ms. Zhang Hua of Lanxi County were arrested by local police while they were distributing information about Falun Gong in the countryside. They were taken to the County Public Security Bureau.
4. [Liaochung, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ye Zhongqiu Rearrested on October 30, 2010
5. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Zhao Lijuan and Li Yibin Arrested
At around 5:30 a.m. on October 28, 2010, police from the Benxi City Domestic Security Division and Benxi Public Security Bureau worked with local police stations and arrested Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Zhao Lijuan (around 50 years old) and her husband, Mr. Li Yibin, and others. Zhao Lijuan and Li Yibin are being held at the Benxi Detention Center.
6. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Wang Wenying Arrested
After 10 O'clock on October 28, 2010, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Wenying of Jiguan District, Jixi City was taken from her work place by officers from Jiguan District 610 Office and Jixi City 610 Office. She is being held at a brainwashing center. She is not allowed any visits from her family.
7. [Baiquan, Heilongjiang Province] Yan Congzhi Seized
At the end of September, 2010, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yan Congzhi of Changzheng Village, Dazhong Township, Baiquan was arrested, and taken to the Qiqihar Forced Labor Camp.
8. [Beijing City] Wang Fuling Detained at Haidian Detention Center
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Fuling, 63, was arrested by police officer Hu Xuejun, from the Shuguang Police Station, as she was posting Falun Gong information in the Shuguang Area of Haidian. She was sent to Haidian Detention Center on the next day.

9. [Shahe City, Hebei Province] Zhao Mandun Picked Up by Domestic Security Division Police
In the evening of October 27, 2010, Wang Jianjun, chief of Shahe City Domestic Security Division, led others to the home of Mr. Zhao Mandun at Gaodian Village, Shiliting Town. They took him to the Xingtai Brainwashing Center.

On the morning of October 28, 2010, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Cao Peizhen, 76, was seized by Shi Ying and Wang of the Taichang 610 Office. They then arrested Taichang Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Jiang Fengying.
Ms. Cao was released after being held for one and a half days, but Ms. Jiang is still in custody.

13. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Facts About the Persecution of Wang Hongye
Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Hongye is over 60 years old. On August 27, 2010, police broke into his home, took him to the county 610 Brainwashing Center, and then sent him to the Linyi City Brainwashing Center. He was forced to "transform" at the Linyi City Brainwashing Center, after being held for two months. Mengyin 610 officers forced his family to hand over a computer and a printer, and 300 yuan, before releasing Mr. Wang.
14. [Haiyang City, Shandong Province] Fan Mingwu and Fan Zhifeng Persecuted
Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Fan Mingwu and wife, Ms. Fan Zhifeng, of Henan Village, Facheng Town, Haiyang City, Yantai were secretly arrested by officers from the 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division, on October 28, 2010. Fan Mingwu is 71 years old and Fan Zhifeng is 62. Their whereabouts are unknown.

16. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Facts About the Persecution of Kan Jixiang
Ms. Kan Jixiang, of Tanbu Town, Mengyin County, Linyi City, has persisted in her belief of Falun Gong for over 10 years even though she has been arrested and fined many times by local police and 610 Office agents.
Kan Jixiang was seized by Linyi Domestic Security Division at Linyi Station on January 10, 2010, as she was heading home. She was detained at the Linyi Detention Center for 45 days, and another 50 days at the Linyi Brainwashing Center. She was later transferred to the Mengyin County 610 Office Brainwashing Center. Although her family has paid 6000 yuan, they are not allowed to visit her.
17. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Facts About the Persecution of Shi Zengyou, Song Bingmei, and Others
Mr. Shi Zengyou, of East Tanbu Village, Tanbu Town, Mengyin County, is over 50. Local police broke into his home on August 26, 2010, confiscated a VCD player, DVD player, Falun Gong books, and other personal items, and arrested him. He is still being held in a detention center.
On August 26, 2010, local police broke into the home of Ms. Song Bingmei, who lives in Kanjiazhuang Village, Mengyin County. The officers confiscated an MP5 player and Falun Gong materials, and then sent her to the County 610 Office Brainwashing Center.
Ms. An Lianyu is a Falun Gong practitioner from Laishiwan Village, Tanbu Town, Mengyin County. Local police and 610 Office agents broke into her home on August 26, 2010, confiscated her Falun Gong books and some personal items, then took her to the county brainwashing center. Ms. An was held there for nearly 30 days, and her family was fined 30,000 yuan.
18. [Hubei Province] Li Zhezao Seized
In October, 2010, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Zhezao, an employee of the Wugang Group Repair Shop, was arrested by Xu Guoqing, police officers from the Qingshan Steel Sub-bureau in Wuhan City, for telling people the truth about the goodness of Falun Gong. He is held at the Tangxunhu Brainwashing Center, and is watched 24 hours a day by a person from his factory.
19. [Luoding, Guangdong Province] Mr. Yang Hongbin's Home Ransacked by Luoding Police on October 19, 2010
20. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Grandma Shao Seized
On October 26, 2010, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Shao was arrested by a member of the Sanzhigou Residents' Committee when she was distributing Falun Gong information materials. Ms. Shao was taken to the Wujiashan Police Station, and then transferred to the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center during the day.
21. [Chongqing] Facts About the Persecution of Liu Xiangtai
In June 2010, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Xiangtai, of Dingjia Town, Bishan County, Chongqing, was arrested by Feng Renjiu and Wu Chao, police officers from the Bishan County 610 Office. Her whereabouts are unknown.
22. [Dafang County, Guizhou Province] Li Hongyu Arrested
Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Hongyu was arrested by Dafang police officers on the night of October 27, 2010. He was sent to Lannigou Brainwashing Center in Guiyang the next morning.
23. [Chenzhou, Hunan Province] Li Meifang Seized
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Meifang, 60, was arrested at her daughter's rental property in Guangzhou on the morning of October 29, 2010. Her daughter was also taken away, and has since returned home.
