Japanese Politicians and Artists Wish Shen Yun Shows Success (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) After eleven successful shows in Korea, the Shen Yun Performing Art will bring twelve shows to Japan starting March 4, 2010. This is the fourth year that Shen Yun has graced Japan stages during its world tour. It brings a completely new program this year. Japanese politicians and artists sent greetings to wish Shen Yun shows great success and to express appreciation to Shen Yun for showcasing traditional Chinese culture.

House of Representatives member Kunio Hatoyama, brother of the Japanese Prime Minister, wished Shen Yun shows great success and expressed his appreciation in a greeting letter. In addition, he said, "Nations live together on the Earth. Their traditional culture is irreplaceable treasures for later generations. However, beautiful art is as fragile under political dispute and damage to the environment as candle light in wind. Let's enjoy the peace, happiness, highly-praised tradition and harmony with nature of an ancient country through fascinating music, feeling beyond countries and sympathy beyond words! Let's enjoy the beautiful time together!"

Rep. Takeo Hiranuma said in his greeting letter, "The universe's spreading to people hearts is endless. Art, ideas, speech, expression and freedom of belief cannot be limited by law and regulations. Legends and traditional culture passed down in different nations are the root of their pride. They are treasure we can't afford to lose. A beautiful stage is fertilizer for people's hearts and lives. I sincerely wish Shen Yun Performing Arts great success!"

Representative Toshimitsu Motegi said he admired Shen Yun Performing Arts' philosophy of restoring classical Chinese culture. The outstanding performance of all artists brought the audience the Chinese culture of five thousand years, made them feel the profoundness of culture and gave them a marvelous night."

Representative Seiki Soramoto said in his greeting letter, "My sincere congratulations for the grand opening of Shen Yun shows in Japan, themed of pure beauty and compassion. I very much appreciate the opportunity of experiencing Chinese culture and five thousand years of history brought to us by Shen Yun Performing Arts!"

Mayor of Higashihiroshima, Yoshio Kurata congratulated the 2010 Shen Yun Performing Arts World Tour. He said, "Shen Yun Performing Arts brought joy and feeling through its unique traditional dance and music with the background of five thousands of years of history and culture. My sincere congratulations for the development of Shen Yun and its successful 2010 World Tour!"

Renowned Stage Performing Artist Mitsuyo Asaka sent a greeting letter. She said, "The Shen Yun Performing Arts shows are wonderful! I have great interest in Chinese culture and art. I will certainly watch the show and hope others will join me!"

Renowned music critic and Professor of Kyoto University, Shinichi Shigihara watched the Shen Yun show last year. On hearing the upcoming return of Shen Yun, he and renowned music critic and Composer Akiya Nakahara sent greetings. Professor Shigihara said, "The stage, presented a new world of inspiring group dance and ethnic music. It was shocking how traditional Chinese music and ethnic dance were presented as modern stage art!"

Having been fascinated with the Shen Yun show last year, renowned Akiya Nakahara said in his letter, "I had never been so moved and amazed. It was an innovative performance with the theme of divine culture, featuring classical Chinese dance combined with ethnic dance. The original stage design and superb skill were refreshing!"
