(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Li Jingyi from Dalian City was illegally sentenced to forced labor in 2000 after he went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong. Mr. Li was taken to a Dalian forced labor camp. On August 14, 2003, he was arrested by Zhongshan Division of Dalian Public Security Bureau officials and persecuted in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. At the time of his release, he was emaciated and on the verge of death. He was arrested again on September 12, 2007. The Shanghai Community of Qingni Neighborhood in the Zhongshan Region helped the Zhongshan Division to arrest him, but their attempt to return him to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp failed.
Over 60 practitioners, including Mr. Li, were transferred to Masanjia Labor Camp in Shenyang City in October, 2004. Li Jingyi's health deteriorated drastically due to persecution. He was unable to eat or drink and was taken to the No.1 Shenyang People's Hospital for an examination. The doctor indicated that he was in critical condition.
Mr. Li could hardly breathe and was close to death in July 2005, when Masnajia Forced Labor Camp guards placed him in a plastic garlic bag and took him to the labor camp gate. A labor camp team leader, a policeman on duty, and a driver took him back to Dalian City. However, none of the three police stations in Dalian City (Qingniwanqiao Police Station, Tianjingjie Police Station, and Guilin Police Station) would take him. Eventually, the three labor camp guards dropped off Mr. Li in Dalian City and immediately left for Shenyang.
At the end of December 2005, he was reported to police officials in Baoye by people who did not understand Falun Gong. Mr. Li had been clarifying the facts in front of the Dalian Daily newspaper building. Tianjinjie Police Station sent officers Wang Shixiang and Wang, who took him to a subdivision of Dalian City Public Security Bureau. The subdivision officials created an interrogation "record" from their questions. The police officers took Mr. Li to the Yaojia Detention Center without a signature on the record.
After the detention center director read the results of Mr. Li's physical exam, he informed the police officers, "We cannot accept him. Take him and leave." However, the two officers insisted on leaving Li Jingyi in the detention center. The director got angry, saying, "Are you guys going to be responsible for this man if anything happens to him?" He escorted the officers to the detention center gate. On the way to the gate, the director asked Mr. Li, who was crippled and could not even stand straight, "Why did you leave your house in such bad weather?" Li Jingyi told the director sincerely, "To save people (from danger)! To save people!" When they arrived at the gate, the two officers were still not willing to leave. They called their supervisor and requested permission to take Mr. Li back to the labor camp the next day. The director told them clearly, "Don't even think about it. We will not take him tomorrow, either, even if you send him back again!" The two officers were very disappointed and had to drive Mr. Li back to the local police station. They did not release him until they verified his poor health condition.
On September 12, 2007, Mr. Li went to the neighborhood community service office on personal business. However, he was arrested by police officers again andillegally detained in the Tianjinjie Police Station. On the third day, he was taken to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City. A physical examination at the labor camp revealed that he was in very poor health, so officials drove him back home.
On the way back, he repeatedly asked the local police station director, who frowned and looked fierce the entire time, "How many Falun Gong practitioners have you sent to the labor camp?" The director, who had been working in the police station for about a year, answered, "Just you!" Sincerely and kindly Mr. Li said to the director, "That is really good. I am the first one you have arrested and I'm also the last one! This kind of thing absolutely cannot happen a second time, as it is not good for you and your family." He also told the other policeman in the car, "It is very fortunate that you were not able to get me into the labor camp today. If I was left there, even heaven would not forgive you. Falun Dafa teaches people to be good and elevates their moral standards. It has numerous benefits yet does nothing harmful. Please remember these words in your heart: 'Falun Dafa is good' and 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.' They will help you when you are in difficulties and danger. Persecuting Dafa and practitioners will incur retribution. I do not want to see anything bad happen to you."
