(Clearwisdom.net) May 13 was a beautiful day in Phoenix, a wonderful time to be outdoors on the House Lawn of the Arizona State Capitol celebrating World Falun Dafa Day. Local practitioners were joined by others from Tucson to stage a poster display, hang banners and distribute materials to the many passersby. A press conference was held, with speeches introducing the importance of Falun Dafa Day, and local practitioners experiencing persecution in China relating their stories to those in attendance. Exercise demonstrations were also held.

Talking to people about the persecution in China
An audio program introducing Falun Dafa Day and featuring quotes from various western practitioners answering the question, "What do Falun Dafa and World Falun Dafa Day mean to you?" played throughout the day. The audio program also featured a number of songs about Falun Dafa and the persecution in China recorded by western practitioners in the traditional American folk song style, as well as brief interludes of the Falun Dafa music, Pudu and Jishi. The music and voices could be heard reverberating powerfully throughout the State Capitol grounds.
People passing by were delighted to learn about the practice and to receive lotus flowers and materials discussing the practice and the persecution. Many took the time to study the posters on display, shocked to learn about the persecution in China.

Many crowds of young students got to see the Falun Dafa displays, an unexpected bonus on their school field trips to the State Capitol
Local practitioners were pleased with the outcome of the event, and plan to return to the State Capitol grounds again to stage similar events in the future.
