(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities and counties in 12 provinces. Eight practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during their detention and at least 19 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Fuyu County, Jilin Province] Mr. Jiang Yongsheng Tortured at Jiutai City Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Jiang Yongsheng, a teacher in Fuyu County, Jilin Province, is being detained at Jiutai City Forced Labor Camp. On April 7, 2010, Mr. Jiang's family went to visit him and found that he had been severely tortured. His legs were so weak and numb that he had to stand against the wall. He was suffering from low blood pressure, a rapid heart rate, and asthma-like breathing, and his face was very pale.

2. [Jiahe County, Hunan Province] Mr. Guo Huisheng Dies after Abuse in Custody
Mr. Guo Huisheng, an officer at the Legislative Affairs Office of Jiahe County Government was arrested by police from the State Security Department. His hands were tied behind his back and he was held to the ground and severely beaten. His face and head were bleeding. On October 6, 2009, Guo Huisheng fell into a coma in the detention center. On October 12, he died in a hospital.

3. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. An Xinyun Arrested by Officers from Licha Township Police Station
On the morning of April 11, 2010, Ms. An Xinyun, from Hebei Village of Licha Town, Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province, was arrested by officers from the Licha Township Police Station while she was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong at a fair in Licha Town. At about 4:00 a.m, Ms. An escaped from detention. Her whereabouts are unknown.
4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Wenyi Detained in Forced Labor Camp
In October 2009, Ms. Chen Wenyi was arrested. She was sentenced to a two-year term in a forced labor camp and is currently detained in Dalian Forced Labor Camp.
5. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yu Xueqing, Ms. Zhang Shulan Arrested
Ms. Yu Xueqing and Ms. Zhang Shulan from Dongxiaoying Village, Luofa Township, Langfang City, Hebei Province, were arrested at home by police from the Langfang Police Department at about 1:00 p.m on April 13, 2010. Their whereabouts are unknown.
6. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. He Lihua Detained
On April 15, 2010, Ms. He Lihua, from Daqing City, was taken back from the Heilongjiang Women's Prison by Ou Aihua, secretary of the sales branch company water supply company for Daqing Oil Field. She is currently being held in a driver team dormitory.
7. [Lanxi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Ping Arrested at Home on the Afternoon of April 14, 2010 by Police from Beijing
8. [Lulong County, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Kai Tortured
Mr. Li Kai was arrested by police on patrol when he was clarifying the truth of Falun Gong in the Chengbei Post Office Saving Bank, Lulong County at 5:00 p.m on April 9, 2010. Mr. Li shouted, "Falun Dafa is good." The police hit Mr. Li on the head and back with iron bars. His had a cut on his brow 1-2 cm. wide. Mr. Li's home was ransacked by two policemen and Sun Ying, director of the Xiazhai Township Police Station. They confiscated 300 yuan in paper money with truth-clarification words written on them, a VCD and Falun Gong books.
9. [Shanghai] Ms. Wang Yijin Sent to Brainwashing Center
On April 13, 2010, Ms. Wang Yijin was forced to go to a brainwashing Center by officers from the Chongming 610 Office.
10. [Liangshan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Yuemei and Ms. Dong Maoyan Arrested
On the afternoon of April 13, 2010, Ms. Liu Yuemei and Ms. Dong Maoyan were arrested by police from the Nanqu Police Station while they were clarifying the truth of Falun Gong. They are currently being detained at the county detention center.
11. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Shuai Arrested
Mr. Li Shuai, from Pengyang Town, Zhoucun District, Zibo City, was arrested at home by officers from the Zhoucun 610 Office. His whereabouts are unknown.
12. [Jiaxiang County, Shandong Province] Mr. He Xinghui Arrested
At about 2:00 p.m on April 5, 2010, Huang Qimei and Sun Jianguo from the Jiaxiang 610 Office went to Yaofang Village, Wolong Town and arrested Mr. He Xinghui and ransacked his home.

13. [Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Guoqiang Arrested
On the afternoon of April 14, 2010, Mr. Wang Guoqiang, from Xiyin Village, Longyao County, Hebei Province was arrested at home by police from the County Police Department. The police climbed over his fence and entered his home. They confiscated his computer, two hard drives and several DVDs.

14. [Penglai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sui Hongying Detained
Ms. Sui Hongying was arrested on the evening of March 20, 2010 when she was out. On the same night, police went to her home and confiscated her Dafa books and truth-clarification materials. Currently Ms. Sui is detained at the local detention center.
15. [Shexian County, Hebei Province] Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp Refused Family Visit for Zhang Guiying
On December 30, 2010, Ms. Zhang Guiying, from the Shexian County Iron Factory, was arrested and taken to the Shexian County Detention Center. Some time before 2010, Ms. Zhang was sentenced to a two-year term at Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp. Her family asked to see Ms. Zhang, but were refused.

18. [Zhenxiong County, Yunnan Province] Mr. Long Ancheng and Ms. Zhang Chaoxuan Arrested
Zhang Zhizhong, Wang Renpu, and policemen from the Domestic Security Division of the Zhenxiong County Police Department arrested Mr. Long Ancheng and Ms. Zhang Chaoxuan at about 2:00 a.m on April 13, 2010. They are currently detained at the Zhenxiong County Detention Center.

19. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Ye Missing
On the evening of March 11, 2010, Ms. Wang Yujie, 22, and Mr. Ma Yuanxin were arrested by police from the Manchun Police Station of Jianghan District, Wuhan City when they posted truth-clarification posters on Hanzheng Street. Ms. Chen Ye, Ms. Wang Yujie's mother went out to look for her daughter. On March 17, 2010, Ms. Chen went missing and her whereabouts are unknown.
20. [Chongqing City] Ms. Zheng Qianfang Arrested
Ms. Zheng Qianfang, 58, is a retired teacher from the Xianfeng Township Central Elementary School, Jiangjin District, Chongqing City. At about 7:00 a.m of April 15, 2010, Ms. Zheng was arrested by officers from the Xianfeng Township Police Station while she was clarifying the truth of Falun Gong at a Xianfeng Township Vegetable Market. Her home was immediately ransacked. Ms. Zheng's whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Gu Qun, 62, from the Yiguanmiao subdivision for retired officials, Chengdu City, was arrested on April 8, 2010 while she was taking a walk with her husband.
