(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this report, ten practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Sun Lanping and Her Family Harassed
Tian Yuhua, deputy head of the Railway East Village Police Station in the Chengguan District, the deputy Party secretary of the Railway East Village Street Office and others went to the Gansu Province Telecom Equipment Factory, on June 18, 2010, which is where retiree Ms. Sun Liping previously worked. Tian Yuhua phoned Ms. Sun's son and ordered him to tell his mother to go to the factory to sign documents that stated she would no longer practice Falun Gong. Ms. Sun's son went there instead, and asked the officials why they continued to look for his mother. He sternly told them that his mother could not meet them. Tian Yuhua and the others threatened Ms. Sun's son and attempted to have him sign the documents on her behalf and to have his photo taken. However, Ms. Sun's son refused to comply.

2. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Police Confiscate Ms. Sun Xiuting's Personal Belongings
Ms. Sun Xiuting, in her 70's, is a retired teacher, and her daughter Ms. Lin Wenhui is mentally unstable. Officers from the Qixia City Police Department arrested Ms. Lin as she was walking down the street, carrying Falun Gong materials, on June 2, 2010. The police later forced Ms. Lin to give them the keys to her mother's home. Five officers then entered Ms. Sun's home and confiscated her personal belongings, including three computers worth about 10,000 yuan and more than 2,000 yuan in cash.

3. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Additional Information on the Persecution of Mr. Fan Fei
Mr. Fan Fei, from Huangzhou, Huanggang City, was arrested by officers from the Shenglijia Street Police Station and the local 610 Office, as he was distributing information about Falun Gong, at approximately 11:00 p.m. on June 17, 2010. They ransacked his home and confiscated more than 4,000 yuan in cash, a computer, printer, CD's, Falun Gong information materials, and other personal belongings worth about 30,000 yuan. Mr. Fan is held in the Huanggang City No. 2 Detention Center. When his wife visited him on the afternoon of June 18, 2010, officials at the detention center forced her to pay 1,000 yuan for Mr. Fan's living expenses.
4. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Aizhi and Ms. Feng Zijun Sent to Prison
Ms. Wang Aizhi, a retired employee of the Zhoukou City Real Estate Bureau, was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment, and has been taken to the Xinxiang Women's Prison.
Ms. Feng Zijun, a retired director of the Zhoukou City Procuratorate, was sentenced to four years, and has been taken to Xinmi Prison in Zhengzhou City.
5. [Jiutai City, Jilin Province] Ms. Song Hongling and Ms. Yang Yuhua Detained in Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Song Hongling and Ms. Yang Yuhua, both employees from the Yingcheng Mining area, were arrested by officers from the Yingcheng Police Station on May 22, 2010, as they were distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVD's. Ms. Song and Ms. Yang were taken to the Majiagangzi Detention Center on the same day. They were recently transferred to the Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City.
6. [Zhouzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ti Fengxia Held in Shijiazhuang City
Ms. Ti Fengxia, from Songlindian Town, was arrested on the evening of June 12, 2010. She is being held at an undisclosed location in Shijiazhuang City.
7. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liang Yanxia Tortured in Detention Center
Ms. Liang Yanxia, from Pingli Village, Gaoli Township, Dingxing County, was arrested by police officers from Yi County on June 17, 2010, as she was out buying materials in Yi County. Ms. Liang was taken to the Qilizhuang Detention Center, where she was tortured.
8. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Ms. Tao Xiuzhi, Ms. Li Shunji and Others Arrested
Ms. Tao Xiuzhi and Ms. Li Shunji were arrested by officers from the Xinhua Police Station at around 10:00 a.m. on June 19, 2010, as they were out speaking to people about Falun Gong. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated a computer. When Ms. Tao Xiulan and Ms. Chi Suqin learned of their arrests, they went to the police station to demand their release. They were also arrested.
9. [Chongqing City] Additional Information on Ms. Zheng Yongchen and Ms. He Xiurong
More than a dozen officers from Shuanglong Police Station, in the Yubei District, burst into Ms. Zheng Yongchen's home at around 6:00 p.m. on June 18, 2010. They arrested Ms. Zheng and Ms. He Xiurong, and confiscated a photo of Master Li Hongzhi, some Falun Gong books and other personal belongings. Ms. Zheng and Ms. He are being held in the Yubei District Detention Center.
10. [Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Guiying and Ms. Lian Jiarong Arrested
Ms. Zhang Guiying and Ms. Lian Jiarong were arrested on June 18, 2010, as they were out speaking to people about Falun Gong. They are now held in a detention center.
11. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Additional Information on the Arrest of Mr. Li Zheng
Mr. Li Zheng works part-time in Wenzhou City. He was arrested on the evening of February 2, 2010. Officers from the Longwan District Police Department, in Wenzhou City, informed Mr. Li's family that he had been placed in detention. Mr. Li's family made the long trip to Wenzhou City on March 14 to find out more details, but officers from the Longwan District Police Department refused to tell them anything about Mr. Li.
Mr. Li's family returned home on March 18, and received official notification of Mr. Li's arrest on March 26. Four months have passed, but Mr. Li's family has received no further information.
12. [Huichun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Chen Guanghui's Condition
Mr. Chen Guanghui, from Huichun City, was arrested on March 14, 2010, while he was out distributing information about Falun Gong. Officers from the Huichun Domestic Security Division took Mr. Chen to the Kunlun Hotel, where he was tortured for five days. As a result of the torture, Mr. Chen lost mobility in his legs. He was then taken to an interrogation room in the city's police department, where he was strapped to a tiger bench for five days, and was deprived of sleep for ten days. Mr. Chen is now unable to take care of himself, and was recently released.

13. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Lijun Arrested
Zhu Xiaotao, from the Dingxing County Domestic Security Division, along with more than a dozen officers, arrested Ms. Li Lijun from Nanxie Village, Yangcun Township, on the afternoon of June 12, 2010. Ms. Li's whereabouts are currently unknown.
Wang Yong, from the Beitian Township Police Station, and several other officers, attempted to arrest Ms. Li Pingxia that same afternoon, but Ms. Li was not at home. They then went to Ms. Zhang Wenju's home. Seeing that the gate was locked, they climbed over the wall, broke into her home and searched it.
14. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Li Ruihua Sentenced
Ms. Li Ruihua, 70, from Kunming City, is a retired worker from the Yimen Copper Mine. She was arrested by officers from the Wuhua District Police Station in early September 2009, as she distributed information about Falun Gong. She was held in the Wuhua District Detention Center. Ms. Li was informed that she had been sentenced to three years in prison, by the Kunming City Intermediate Court, on June 7, 2010.
15. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Information on the Arrest of Ms. He Lixia
Ms. He Lixia, from Taikang Autonomous County in Duerbote, along with another practitioner, went by motorcycle to distribute information about Falun Gong at around 8:00 p.m. on June 12, 2010. Ms. He was arrested, but the other practitioner was able to escape.
16. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Circumstances Regarding Ms. Jin and Her Husband Mr. Liu Ze
Ms. Jin and her husband Mr. Liu Ze, employees of the Qilu Ethylene Chemical Co. Ltd., were arrested when they speaking to people about Falun Gong. When they were taken to the police department, Ms. Jin showed symptoms of having heart problems and high blood pressure. She was released, but her husband remains in detention.
