(Clearwisdom.net) A Falun Gong practitioner named Mr. Zhang recently told me a story that shows how weak the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has become. Indeed, the party is in a state of extreme paranoia.
During the holiday season for the Dragon Boat Festival this year, Mr. Zhang and his family joined a tour group on a trip within the country. Because there were special notes on the couple's identity cards in the computer system, when they went through customs before boarding the plane, it alerted seven departments in the province. Officials exerted pressure on Mr. Zhang's employer, demanding that they stop his whole family from going on the trip. His employer made repeated guarantees and finally agreed to send someone on the trip to secretly monitor Mr. Zhang's movements.
Mr. Zhang and his family arrived at their destination and it was arranged for them to stay on the third floor of a hotel. The spy stayed on the fourth floor. During the entire trip, Mr. Zhang and his family didn't know that they were being spied upon. On their trip home, he ran into a few familiar faces at the airport that he had seen during their trip. Mr. Zhang asked, "Are you here to protect us?" The person dared not reveal the truth and replied, "There are so many people at the airport, why would you think I was here to protect you?"
When Mr. Zhang's daughter returned to work, her superior summoned her for a talk and eventually revealed what had happened. He said again and again, "Your family's trip has startled seven departments in the province. They were afraid that your family would attend the Shanghai Expo after leaving Hangzhou." Her superior also kept saying that they had no choice in the matter, and were forced to spy on her family by orders from above.
One day Mr. Zhang had the opportunity to clarify the facts about Falun Gong to the heads of the relevant departments. Making use of the incident in which his superiors were innocently implicated because his family went on a trip, he told them that everything the CCP does is illegal. He said, "All of you should know that as legitimate Chinese citizens, it is our right to go on a trip during the holiday season. However, the CCP is terrified because we practice Falun Gong and conduct ourselves as good people according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."
Mr. Zhang continued, "Falun Gong is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. The perpetrators of the persecution--Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan and so on--are being sued, and arrest warrants for them have been issued by the courts in Spain, Argentina, and other countries. More than 75 million people have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations in mainland China. You should sincerely recite 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good' and withdraw from the CCP in order to be safe." Everyone present earnestly and carefully listened to his words. Finally his superiors said, "Don't hesitate to come to us if you have any problems. Next time you plan to travel, let us know. Since all travel expenses are paid for using public funds, we will use this as an opportunity to take a break. It is only because of you that we are able to enjoy such benefits [to know the truth]."
After hearing Mr. Zhang's story, I was also very touched. Indeed, we should make use of every opportunity to tell people the true facts about Falun Gong, and in the process, save people.
