(Clearwisdom.net) After a few local practitioners worked together to put up posters that read "Falun Dafa is Good" in public places, we were confronted by police officers who were patrolling the area in a police car. The officers seemed very angry as they got out of their car, and one of them immediately grabbed my arm. Luckily, another practitioner managed to get away on his motorbike.
My first thought was, "There were four of us practitioners working together, but I was the only one who ran into a problem. There must be some attachment that I have not let go." The officer who grabbed my arm took out his phone and started to make a call. I knew that I must not let him make this call, otherwise he will commit a sin in persecuting a practitioner. I stopped him and said, "You must not do this. You cannot gain anything at all from this." He obediently lowered his phone. I proceeded to sincerely tell him that persecuting practitioners would bring him and his family misfortune. Perhaps it was my sincerity that awakened the compassionate thoughts in the officers who were present, but their attitude changed as I clarified the facts. They stopped being arrogant and gradually calmed down. They even showed their kind side and kept telling me to pay attention to safety in the future. They said these kind words as they drove me home.
From this incident, I came to understand two things:
Benevolent Master is constantly protecting his practitioners. About two weeks before this incident, Master used different ways to urge me to study the Fa more diligently. Every time I felt tired and wanted to take a nap while studying the Fa, the phone would ring or someone would call me, thus making me more alert. When I did actually fall asleep, someone would come and wake me up, but I sometimes made excuses and asked Master to allow me to take a nap since I wouldn't be able to study the Fa well if I was drowsy. I have come to understand that whatever Master asks us to do, we must not make excuses or try to bargain. We must do well in what Master requires of us. We may not understand the reasons for this, but whatever Master asks us to do must be the best for us, so we should unconditionally fulfill those wishes. If I hadn't persisted in studying the Fa in spite of the hints Master gave me, I may not have had righteous thoughts when facing the police officers that suddenly appeared.
I also realized that with the progress of Fa rectification and the persistent efforts of practitioners in clarifying the facts over the past few years, many people, including police officers, have gradually come to understand the truth about Dafa. We should not have unkind thoughts towards them just because they have directly participated in helping persecute practitioners. They have truly been severely persecuted. They have been used by the Chinese Communist Party to persecute practitioners. Only by showing compassion towards them can we awaken their conscience. We must not fight with them, as this will bring out their negative sides, resulting in them not being saved, and would be truly detrimental to their future.
