Recognizing the CCP's lies

I began to practice Falun Gong before 1999. I was young at the time and I basically followed the adult practitioners. After the CCP started to defame Falun Gong with media propaganda, I was swayed and my mind was poisoned. Because of this, I did not pay much attention even when I saw truth-clarification materials. Nonetheless, I did remember that, in one booklet, it said, “The person who allegedly committed self-immolation burned himself, but the plastic bottle between his legs and his hair were not burned.”

Later, I came to a better understanding of this through my own experience. It is common for college students to play poker on the campus in the evening or over the weekend. One day I was playing poker with my roommate. After it was time to turn off the light, we lit a candle and continued our game. Because the candlelight was not very bright, I moved closer hoping to see better. When I did, there was a burning smell and my hair curled up in the flame. At that time, I recalled what I had read in that booklet. Since hair is very flammable, how could that person's hair and the plastic bottle not have been affected? It must have been a plot.

Master helped me during a robbery

I began to study the Fa again after entering college. One day as I was walking with my girlfriend on a small road around 9:30 p.m., two people accosted us and demanded my cell phone and money. I told them to let my girlfriend leave first. When I didn't give them what they wanted, one of them began to beat me. I felt something hit my head several times and then I fell down. When the robbers held me down, I was thinking that my cultivation opportunity was precious and I needed to do better in the future. Then they ran away for no reason. When I got up, they were already gone. My girlfriend was frightened, but I told her I would be all right since I was a practitioner.

The next day I asked my girlfriend why she was so frightened even though the robbers did not have any weapons. She said one of the robbers had hit me in the head many times with a brick, which is why I fell down. I checked and found some scratches on my forehead. Then I remembered that I thought something had hit my head—it was actually a brick, but it did not hurt at all. If this had happened to an everyday person, it would have been unimaginable. I am very grateful for Master's help.
