(Clearwisdom.net) Before I began practicing Falun Gong, a friend told me a story. There was once a person who wanted to test whether or not a person went to the eighteenth level of Hell after continually committing bad deeds. Therefore, he went ahead and committed as many bad deeds as he could while on Earth, and he did go to the eighteenth layer of Hell after his death. One day, he heard someone crying beneath him. He was surprised and wondered, “Can there really be someone who was even worse than I?” He asked the person beneath him, “What did you do to descend even lower than the eighteenth layer of Hell?” The person replied, “I was a teacher, and I led my students astray.”

In this year's Shen Yun performance, there was a program telling a story about a school teacher who was persecuted by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) thugs for telling her students about Falun Dafa's principles. Her students tried to protect her. I was very moved by the performance. Besides admiring the practitioner teacher, I started thinking, “We Falun Dafa disciples who work as teachers should fulfill our responsibilities to our students.”

All our students have predestined relationships with us. Saving them is part of reaching consummation ourselves. Our students are our “children.” If they don't understand the truth, they will have little resistance to the CCP's lies, and may even transmit the lies to others. Not caring for our “children” is even worse than being selfish. That is contempt of life, or at least not valuing it. Aren't those the characteristics of the old forces?

For many years now, many middle school and elementary school textbooks have had content that slandered Dafa. We practitioners who are teachers, parents of students, and students, should seriously think about how to break through this obstacle. We should strengthen our righteous thoughts in the Fa to eliminate and disintegrate the old forces' every factor in the education system. In particular, teachers who are practitioners bear more responsibility. During this final stage of the Dharma-ending period, it was not accidental that we chose to be teachers in China. If we don't do well, we may be leading the young people astray. When the Fa-rectification period ends, wouldn't we have to take responsibility for it?
