(Clearwisdom.net) From May 27 until June 5, the art exhibition “The Art of Truth, Compassion, Tolerance” was on display in the Italian city of Fano, inside the former church of Sant'Arcangelo, now used as an exhibition hall. The international exhibition, presented by the Italian Falun Dafa Association, has toured over 200 cities around the world, displaying the beauty of the spiritual practice of Falun Dafa, the brutal persecution its practitioners are suffering in China, and the peaceful resistance carried out by Falun Dafa practitioners all over the world seeking to end the persecution in China.

The opening ceremony was held on the afternoon of May 27. Mr. Mancinelli, town councilor for culture for the city of Fano, and Mr. Rossi, provincial councilor for culture for the province of Pesaro-Urbino, both spoke at the ceremony.

Mr. Mancinelli expressed his appreciation for the beauty and authenticity of Falun Gong. He pointed out that he had no idea about the persecution Falun Gong practitioners are still suffering in China, but learned about the situation after talking with local practitioners who told him about the exhibition. He said, “I think the meaning of this exhibition lies in the human values it expresses and the importance of having people know this reality, which has been hidden. I also think we should in no way support those who don't allow people to freely exercise their freedom of expression. I would like to bring you the greetings from the mayor of our city and from all the members of the municipality. I'm happy to see there are still people in this world who live and work for freedom, tolerance, harmony and purity.”

Mr. Rossi shared his concerns regarding how the peaceful practice of Falun Gong is still being persecuted, even though its healing effects and moral improvements were recorded in China before the persecution started officially on July 20, 1999.

Mr. Rossi invited people to try Falun Gong for themselves, to find out that it is possible to experience harmony and balance in one's life, just as millions of Falun Gong practitioners around the world have done.

Visitors view the paintings and listen to the guide’s explanation

After the opening ceremony the public was invited to take a guided tour of the paintings to gain a deeper understanding of the exhibition. The guide talked about the spirit of the practice, the reasons behind the persecution, and why practitioners are not giving up despite the repression. Many visitors were moved to tears.

Among the several hundred visitors who viewed the exhibition, most of them wished the practitioners success in future projects to raise awareness, and thanked them for sharing the information about Falun Dafa and the human rights abuses happening in China.
