(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioners were invited for the seventh time to participate in the Starlight Parade of the Rose Festival. On the evening of June 4, 2011, practitioners from Washington and Oregon brought the “Fa Boat” float and joined the parade. Their float won two awards: 3rd place for “Best Illumination” and 2nd place for “Best Community Division.” According to the reports, the parade drew 250 thousand viewer.
At 5 p.m. that day, large crowds gathered along the sides of the parade route. Before the “Fa Boat” float “set sail,” many people noticed it and took photos. Several Chinese students who were taking pictures saw the Falun Dafa float. One of them exclaimed, “Wonderful!” They watched quietly while the “celestial maidens” on the float demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises.
During the parade, many in the crowd shouted “Falun Dafa!” some waved to the practitioners, some showed appreciation by pressing their the palms together, and many followed along with the exercise movements quietly. After the parade, many people asked for more information about Falun Gong and the persecution in China.
