(Clearwisdom.net) More than ten practitioners were arrested between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m. on August 16, 2011, in the Huangzhou District, Huanggang City, Hubei Province. Officials from the Hubei Province 610 Office, the Huangzhou District Police Department, and various other police stations arrested as many as 14 practitioners.

Police agents went to Ms. Lin Zejing's home at 6:00 a.m., arrested her, and ransacked her residence. Many other practitioners were also arrested and their homes were ransacked. The victims were Mr. Hu Jun, Ms. Xiong Xiulian (a retired teacher from the Baota Elementary School), the family of Mr. Shen Mingqing (Mr. Shen, his wife Ms. Xu Lamei, their older daughter Ms. Shen Zhi, and their younger daughter Ms. Shen Yi), Ms. Zhang Lianming (retired), Ms. Long Qiuping (employed at the highway authority), Ms. Liu Zhihong, Ms. Zheng Caixia (from the Changjiang Community), Ms. Yu Jinming, and Ms. Shao Lianying (living in Baota). The evildoers didn’t even spare Mr. Hu Zhengquan, who was an employee of the Agriculture Bureau and gave up the practice many years ago. Officials still arrested him and his workplace officials bailed him out at 5:00 p.m. Ms. Dai Youyuan, a retiree from the city post office, has been surrounded by police agents for five days.

Compared to previous events, the arrests this time were more aggressive. More than ten agents went to the practitioners’ homes, arrested them, and confiscated personal belongings as soon as they intruded. They took 40,000 yuan in cash and a computer from Ms. Lin Zejing’s home, and computers from Ms. Xiong Xiulian and Mr. Hu Zhengquan. The couple (Mr. Shen and Ms. Xu) had saved 100,000 yuan for their daughters to open a store, but the agents took the money.

Practitioners who were released that same day were Ms. Xu Lamei, Ms. Long Qiuping, Ms. Yu Jinming, Ms. Shao Lianying, and Ms. Shen Yi. Eight other practitioners were kept in the Huanggang City Third Detention Center, including Ms. Lin Zejing, Mr. Hu Jun, Ms. Liu Zhihong, Ms. Xiong Xiulian, Ms. Shen Zhi, Ms. Shen Mingqing, Ms. Zheng Caixia, and Ms. Zhang Lianming. Officials also ordered the employers of some practitioners to assign two people to monitor each of the practitioners, and transferred these practitioners to the Banqiao Brainwashing Center in Wuhan City.

In another incident, Mr. Wang Jiansheng, former head of the Huanggang City Post Office clinic, has been held in the brainwashing center for three months and has yet to be released.

Some of the detained practitioners have been severely persecuted in the past. One example is Ms. Liu Zhihong, the younger sister of Chibi Middle School practitioner Ms. Liu Juhua in Huanggang City. Ms. Liu Zhihong was sent to the brainwashing center twice in the past, for one year the first time and two years the second time. Ms. Liu Juhua was sent to the Wuhan Women’s Prison in April 2009. She is currently very weak due to mistreatment.

Ms. Lin Zijing was sent to Shayang Forced Labor Camp in 2001 with a term of one year, which camp officials extended by four months. Mr. Hu Jun was sentenced to a one-year term in 2001. Ms. Xiong Xiulian was also persecuted many times.

Agents who participated in the arrests were from the Huanggang City 610 Office, the Huangzhou District 610 Office, the Huanggang City Political and Judicial Bureau, Huangzhou District Domestic Security Division, the Dongmen Police Station, and the Shenglijie Police Station.
