(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties across nine provinces. As per this report, ten practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 40 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Over Ten Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested
Officials from the Qixia City Police Department, 610 Office and police stations arrested more than 10 Falun Gong practitioners and ransacked their homes between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on August 30, 2011. Those from Daliujia Township, Qixia City, were Ms. Feng Cuirong, Mr. Yi Xueming, Ms. Cheng Shaoyan, Mr. Sun Yongan, Mr. Liu Xiangbin, Mr. Li Jianhui, Mr. Zhang Haipeng, Mr. Wang Libin, Mr. Feng Fusheng, and Mr. Feng Yongqing.
Mr. Feng Fusheng and Mr. Feng Yongqing managed to escape.
Mr. Lin Guojun, his wife, Ms. Li Ximin, and Mr. Lin Fushou and Mr. Liu Lebing were also taken into custody. The police ransacked Mr. Lin Guojun’s store on the morning of August 30.
Ms. Jiang Shuying from Guanli Town, Qixia City, was arrested at 6:00 a.m. that same day. The police not only ransacked her home but also brutally beat her non-practitioner husband, injuring his left eye and damaging his teeth. Although he and his relatives and neighbors attempted to stop the police, the police mustered several police vehicles and dragged Ms. Jiang and his brother and sister-in-law, both non-practitioners, into the police vehicles.
2. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Shuxiang and Seven Other Practitioners Arrested by Taiping Police Department
Taiping Police Department agents and those from its subordinate stations have arrested eight practitioners since July 2011. Ms. Zhang Shuxiang was arrested at home by Zang Wancai, Jiang Yongcai, and Li Gang from the Chengnan Police Station on August 22. Before this, seven practitioners including Ms. Ma Guihua and Ms. Hou Fengjiu were arrested by agents from the Taiping Police Department, the Jianshe Police Station, and the Meihai Police Station. Ms. Zhang was held in the Xindi Detention Center. Ms. Ma has been sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Hou was detained in the Luotaishanzhuang Brainwashing Center in Fushun City.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Additional Information Regarding the Persecution of Ms. Xu Jieying
Ms. Xu Jieying, in her 40s, is an accountant at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences in Wuhan City. Her home was ransacked by agents from the Wuhan City 610 Office and the Jiangxia District 610 Office on June 10, 2011. She was forcibly taken into custody at her workplace on June 18. During the arrest she fell from third floor. Her sternum and legs were fractured, and her face injured.

Ms. Pan Peiyun from Mapengshan Community, 58, was arrested by Mingshui No. 2 Police Station officers for telling people the truth about Falun Gong on the morning of August 27, 2011. She is currently in the Zhangqiu City Detention Center.

5. [Beijing] Ms. Cai Fuying Arrested and Persecuted
Ms. Cai Fuying from Datunli Community, Yayun Village, Chaoyang District, was arrested at home by more than ten police officers on March 8, 2011. Her home was ransacked. So far Ms. Cai has been held in the Chaoyang District Detention Center for more than five months. Her family was prohibited from visiting her.

Ms. Li Chunqin was arrested on the morning of August 29, 2011. The police confiscated her personal belongings, including a computer and a printer.

7. [Chongqing] Ms. Pi Junque Arrested and Taken to Tieshanping Brainwashing Center
Ms. Pi Junque from the Jiangbei District was arrested while sending righteous thoughts in the Tieshanping area on August 29, 2011. She is currently in the Tieshanping Brainwashing Center in the Jiangbei District.

Ms. Hu Xiaofen from Xinjian Town, Jinyun County, was followed by agents from the Yongkang City 610 Office while distributing Falun Gong materials in Yongkang City. She was arrested at home around August 27, 2011.

Ms. Zeng Xiufang from Shatoujiao Town was arrested on July 20, 2011, along with practitioners who did business with her. Their whereabouts are still unknown.

12. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Du Caifeng and Mr. Wang Zhihong Arrested
Ms. Du Caifeng was arrested and taken to the brainwashing center in the Shanxi Province Men’s Forced Labor Camp on the afternoon of August 25, 2011. Mr. Wang Zhihong, a pharmacist at the Shanxi Province Hospital, was arrested at the same time.
13. [Beijing] Ms. Kui Shuhua and Mr. Liu Yuejin Arrested
Ms. Kui Shuhua was reported to police when she distributed Falun Gong materials. She was subsequently arrested at home on the afternoon of August 4, 2011. Mr. Liu Yuejin was arrested at his workplace that same day. Their whereabouts are unknown so far.

Ms. Qiu Xiuqin, Ms. Yu Changlan, and Ms. Wang Shujuan and her brother from Hualin Town were arrested by Yan Danbei from the Mudanjiang City Domestic Security Division and police officers the evening of March 14, 2011. It was known on August 30 that Ms. Yu had been sentenced to four years of imprisonment.

16. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Wei Transferred from a Brainwashing Center to Detention Center and Still Persecuted
Mr. Zhang Wei was arrested by agents from the Jiaohe City 610 Office and the Minzhu Police Station on August 4, 2011. He was first detained in the Shahezi Brainwashing Center in Jilin City. Two weeks later the police transferred him to the Weizigou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City, but labor camp officials refused to accept him. He was then transferred to the Jiaohe City Detention Center.

17. [Gaoqing County, Shandong Province] Additional Information Regarding the Persecution of Ms. Zhang Airong
Ms. Zhang Airong from the Bandaojing Wine Plant was arrested and taken to the Wangcun No. 2 Women’s Forced Labor Camp in July 2011. She has been detained for two months so far, and her family was prohibited from visiting her.
18. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Additional Information Regarding the Persecution of Retired Doctor Ms. Hu Yuge, Now Safely at Home
Ms. Hu Yuge is a retired doctor from Hebei Medical University in Shijiazhuang City. She was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center when she clarified the truth about Falun Gong on August 26, 2011. She managed to escape the following day and returned home safely.
19. [Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Information Regarding the Second Trial of Mr. Zhang Jianping and Mr. Wei Xiang
Mr. Zhang Jianping and Mr. Wei Xiang, both employed at the Nanfang Cement Company, Limited, were recently tried for a second time. The judge upheld the original decision in which Mr. Wei was sentenced to five years and Mr. Zhang to four years.
20. [Ruichang City, Jiangxi Province] Practitioner’s Daughter Arrested and Held for Three Hours
Practitioner Ms. Zhou Meili’s daughter, Ms. Xu Wenjing, appealed to the Ruichang City Police Department on August 29, 2011. She requested an immediate and unconditional release of her mother, who was illegally detained. Ruichang City Domestic Security Division agents forcibly arrested her, took her to the Pencheng Police Station, and detained her for three hours.

Mr. Wang Yongjin, 37, was a drill master at the Fujian Police College. He was arrested again by Zhou Xun, Lin Wenqiang, and other agents from the Fuzhou City Domestic Security Division on August 31, 2010. He has been held in the Fuzhou City No. 1 Detention Center for the past 12 months.
