(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Wang Zhixue, 38, from Guizhou Province was arrested in the Guiyang Rail Station on December 20, 2013. His home was ransacked by the police. The arrest was already approved by the Yunyan District Procuratorate in Guiyang City.

Mr. Wang was about to board a train leaving at 9:50 a.m. that day for his business. When his ticket and ID were checked at the security gate, the staff immediately called a police officer in the rail station and gave Mr. Wang's ticket and ID to the officer.

Without showing any police ID or legal procedure, the railway police checked Mr. Wang's luggage. They found only some yuan with messages clarifying the truth of Falun Gong on them. The police then took Mr. Wang to his home, forced open his cupboards, and searched the rest of his home. They removed all the computers, including one for his child's study, nearly 30,000 yuan in cash, and other items for daily use.

Mr. Wang's family went to the police station to have Mr. Wang released and his personal belongings returned, but they were refused by the police. The family then went to the Touqiao Police Station which kept the valuable items taken from their home. The police only returned 7,000 yuan and refused to return another 10,000 yuan with truth-clarification messages on them. Officer Li Bo even shouted at the family.

An attorney from Beijing, hired by the family, pointed out that the police already broke the law in the following ways:

1. It is against the law governing identification for the police to store information regarding Mr. Wang's personal beliefs in the ticket checking system of the rail station.

2. The railroad ticket checking system may not be used to check a citizen's personal belief against his ID card. It is again Regulation No. 14 of the ID law.

3. Simply because information about Mr. Wang's personal belief was recorded in the ID system, the railway police searched his personal luggage and his home without following any legal procedure – This is a crime of illegal search and seizure.
