(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 8 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 20 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Zalantun City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Qu Honghai's Prison Term Extended
Mr. Qu Honghai, 37, from Zalantun City obtained a copy of Zhuan Falun from a practitioner while serving his term at the No.1 Prison of the Shenyang Prison Complex. He started practicing Falun Gong, and he used his cell phone to expose the crimes that guards had committed in the prison. As a result, his term was extended an additional five years. He has been transferred to Nanguanling Prison in Dalian City.

Mr. Hu Qingbin was arrested and his home was ransacked on September 23, 2014. He is being held at the Xixie Detention Center.
3. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Cuiling Arrested
Ms. Li Cuiling from the Wumahe District went to the Wumahe Police Department and explained the facts about Falun Gong to officers on December 24, 2014. She was arrested.
4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xiang Changqing Arrested
Officers barged into Ms. Xiang Changqing's home and arrested her on December 24, 2014. They confiscated her Falun Gong books, a computer, a printer, and other items.
5. [Shamen City, Fujian Province] Ms. Li Xiujiao Persecuted
Domestic Security Division Chief Wu Ziting summoned Ms. Li Xiujiao to the Huli Police Department on December 22, 2014. Wu threatened Ms. Li and tried to force her to sign a document. After the events, Ms. Li's blood pressure rapidly increased and she had a stroke. Ms. Li is still being treated in the intensive care unit of the Shamen No.1 Hospital.

6. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] 3 Practitioners Detained
Ms. Zhang Xiaorong, Ms. Zhang Keyang, and Ms. Zhang Jiaqi were reported to the police and arrested by officers from the Baishan Police Department Hongqi Branch on December 17, 2014, for talking about Falun Gong. They are now in a detention center.

7. [Xian City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Yanfang Held in Brainwashing Center
Ms. Li Yanfang from Shanxi Province was arrested by officers from the Yanta Domestic Security Division in April 2014 in Xian City, where Ms. Li was doing odd jobs. She was taken to the Xuanpingyuan Brainwashing Center in Xian City.
8. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhan Yucai Sentenced to 4 Years in Prison
Ms. Zhan Yucai was tried in Lixi Court on August 7, 2014, and sentenced her to four years in prison. She was arrested by officers from the Dianliu New Village on March 16, 2014, and is now in the Jinan Detention Center.
9. [Taigu County, Shanxi Province] 3 Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Yaohua, 60; Ms. Xiuhong, 40; and another practitioner, about 60, were arrested by officers from the local police station on December 19, 2014, for explaining the facts about Falun Gong in Fan Village, Fancun Town. They are being held at the Yuci Detention Center.

Ms. Zhang Laihua from Longmen Town was arrested by officers from the Jiangling Police Station on December 25, 2014, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in Jiangling Town.

Officers from the Chengbei Police Station and the Yuechi State Security Division arrested Ms. Bai Yuzhen, Ms. Zhang Yufang, Ms. Huang Sufen, Ms. Tang Suying, Ms. Zhao, Ms. Duan, and Ms. Jiang on December 24, 2014.

Mr. Zhang Xiuqiang from Lijia Village in Chengguan Town was arrested by officers from the Boxing Police Department Domestic Security Division on July 9, 2014. His home was ransacked. Mr. Zhang is held in the Boxing Prison.

Ms. Xiaohua from Qufu and a 69-year-old woman were arrested. They are being held at the Jining Detention Center. The older woman has been tortured with the tiger bench, and she went on a hunger strike in protest.

Ms. Liu Yujuan from the Chaoyang District was arrested on July 22, 2014, and held at the Beijing No.1 Detention Center. She was recently sentenced to three years in prison.
