(Minghui.org) Female Falun Gong practitioners in Liaoning Province who refuse to renounce their faith are tortured in Liaoning Province Women’s Prison, also known as Dabei Women’s Prison, located in Shenyang City. Falun Gong teaches the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. It has been persecuted in China by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) since July 1999.

To force the practitioners to renounce their faith, the prison authorities used different ways to torture the practitioners to grind down their will. The torture methods, to name a few, include: pouring boiling or freezing water on them, injecting or force feeding them with unknown drugs and substances, shocking them with electric batons, inserting spicy pepper into their vaginas, hanging them up by their handcuffs, as well as forcing them to do long hours of intensive labor, starving them, forcing them to stand for long periods, tying them up in unnatural positions, and depriving them of sleep.

Most of the times the practitioners were not allowed to used the toilet, to wash up, or purchase daily necessities. They were often denied family visits as well.

By the end of 2023, we have confirmed the information on 62 practitioners, including 19 who were tortured while they were still in prison custody. Two practitioners died on the same day after they were admitted to the prison. Others passed away from the torture after they were released, including some passing away within days following their release. The prison guards often released the practitioners on medical parole once they realized that the practitioners were dying to avoid responsibility.

Because of the information blockade in China, some of the details on their suffering are missing and the actual number of the practitioners who died in the persecution is likely to be higher.

The 62 deceased practitioners are: Ms. Sun Hongyan, Ms. Liu Liyun, Ms. Sun Yuhua, Ms. Zou Qingyu, Ms. Li Hongzeng, Ms. Yu Fenghua, Ms. Li Guangzhen, Ms. Li Ling, Ms. Yu Li, Ms. Ni Shuqin, Ms. Shi Shengying, Ms. Wang Xiuxia, Ms. Liu Lihua, Ms. Jiang Xiuhua, Ms. Cong Peilian, Ms. Zhang Guizhi, Ms. Wang Shuxia, Ms. Wang Hongmei, Ms. Shi Yingchun, Ms. Zhang Fengzhen, Ms. Ding Zhenfang, Ms. Wang Chunxiang, Ms. Wang Jie, Ms. Wu Shuyan, Ms. Yang Chunling, Ms. Liu Luxiang, Ms. Wang Min, Ms. Xu Chunxia, Ms. Sun Jingmei, Ms. Geng Ren’e, Ms. Wang Yanqiu, Ms. Wu Yefeng, Ms. Leng Dongmei, Ms. Sun Min, Ms. Li Yanqiu, Ms. Liu Jinyu, Ms. Lan Lihua, Ms. Li Guirong, Ms. Li Guojun, Ms. Zhong Shujuan, Ms. Chen Yongchun, Ms. Zhu Yulan, Ms. Wang Sumei, Ms. Guo Hongyan, Ms. Hu Yanbo, Ms. Wu Naiying, Ms. Wu Xiufang, Ms. Ye Zhongqiu, Ms. Liu Yukun, Ms. Yong Fang, Ms. Zhang Yulan, Ms. Wang Guilan, Ms. Du Jingqin, Ms. Zhou Gaiqing, Ms. Liu Xinying, Ms. Guo Qing, Ms. Wang Xibin, Ms. Wang Xiangju, Ms. Wang Huimin, Ms. Li Fengmei, Ms. Jiang Yanling, and Ms. Yang Shuwen.

Once the practitioners entered the prison, the prison authorities arrange two inmates to monitor each practitioner around the clock. Some practitioners’ terms were extended because they refuse to renounce Falun Gong.
