Evil "Enlightenment" 11: In early 2000, the evil controlled the media to make a video of Li Chang and Yao Jie slandering Teacher and Dafa after they renounced their belief. The video is full of their so-called "criticism" and "exposure." People who enlightened along an evil path said, "Li Chang and Yao Jie were both close to Teacher, yet they made such comments about Dafa--they must be right. They were both in the Dafa Association and were transformed, what are you holding onto? So many people in the forced labor camps have been transformed and only a few of you still do not want to cooperate. (In the labor camps, the authorities lock the steadfast practitioners in separate cells trying to create the false impression that most practitioners have been brainwashed.) Do you think that so many transformed people are wrong and only you have the right understanding of the Fa?" In these circumstances, some people who were not determined or did not have a clear view of the situation accepted the evil "enlightenment" and were brainwashed.

Analysis of 11: Teacher said, "a cultivator has no role models" ("Path"). A common practitioner, or a member of the Dafa Association: these are both titles in the human world. While on the path of cultivation, the standard is the same for everyone. Whoever does not improve his or her xinxing [the nature of the mind or the heart, moral character] cannot pass the tests. Practitioners have to be responsible to themselves in cultivation. When some people saw that practitioners who were members of the Dafa Association had been brainwashed, or that a lot of people had been brainwashed, they felt shock, became unsure of themselves and could not remain firm in their belief. This clearly exposed their everyday-people's notion of "following role models." Actually this is the time to look inside, find one's problems and remove all of those impure and bad things instead of being affected by those people who had a wrong understanding of the Fa. The interference itself might be an arrangement to test whether you can still firmly believe in Dafa in such a complicated situation. If you are affected by them, how can you pass the test?

Regarding the video of Li Chang and Yao Jie, I carefully watched it twice and did not find anything new in it. Their intention to quickly get away from their difficult situation made them speak words damaging the reputation of Teacher and Dafa. On the other hand, they had too much attachment to sentiment. Under the intense pressure, the ordinary notions they had once put down came up again and caused them to lose their objective and clear minds. They encountered similar situations before the persecution, so why did they have righteous minds, respect Teacher, and fully believe in Dafa during those times?

A person's mind is very vulnerable and easily be led astray under intense pressure. It is extremely hard to look at the problem with a calm, objective attitude. So the truthfulness and credibility of what Li Chang and Yao Jie said in this special situation are highly questionable.

The video itself has many questionable points, such as the so-called "collected money of Teacher." This information is not from Li and Yao; instead they quoted other people. The claim has no solid basis, but if people did not watch carefully, they could easily be fooled and think that the information was directly from Li and Yao. After all, the video was made by the evil-controlled media. It did not have an objective selection of content. We all know that the media has already made up lots of lies to slander us. Why should we believe anything they say?

Evil "Enlightenment" 12: Using "look inside, get rid of one's attachment" as an excuse. The people who accepted evil "enlightenment" of the Fa did not acknowledge the existence of any persecution against the Fa and practitioners. They said that practitioners needed to look inside whenever there was a conflict, that Dafa had encountered this tribulation because practitioners did something wrong. They explained that the evil forces persecuted the Fa because Dafa disturbed society and should not be introduced to the human world. The evil forces persecuted practitioners because practitioners did something wrong and therefore should not keep practicing any longer. But on the other hand, no matter how vicious and despicable the means the evil forces used to persecute the Fa and practitioners, they did not care and never wanted to talk about it. They even created some theories to support their stand, such as, "living for fame, gain and sentimentality reflects the Fa on this level and should not be gotten rid of." Also, they came to believe that being determined to practice Falun Gong and to validate Dafa is a strong attachment which should be given up. They said practitioners should pay more attention to human feelings, while closing their eyes to the persecution of Dafa. They did not study the Fa, do the exercises, nor did they believe in Teacher. They just followed whatever appeared in their mind. Since every one of them is different, they had various ridiculous "cultivation theories."

Analysis of 12: A practitioner who does not have the Fa in his heart cannot think logically, and even when his mind is in a muddled state, he still does not realize it. Those practitioners who had read Dafa before but went astray because of persecution, were especially likely to give up the practice in the face of the pressure, as they were extremely afraid of the evil forces. Their minds were not clear and were completely controlled by the evil. Their minds were not even as normal as an everyday person's mind. They unconditionally took every word from the evil, but on the other hand, they wantonly slandered Teacher and the Fa, made various accusations against practitioners and cooperated with the evil to persecute Dafa practitioners, such as participating in brainwashing. Even more viciously, they said that their torture of other practitioners was to help them improve and for their benefit. Eventually they became tools of the evil.

They extracted, distorted, modified and changed the meaning of the content of the Fa for the purpose of supporting their evil "enlightenment." They gradually made up an entire vicious theory. They did not believe in Dafa. To cover their full of loopholes theory, they selected parts of the Fa to use as excuses, or when they could not find anything, they set aside the requirements of the Fa and fabricated the content to insert their theories, which is extremely absurd.

I think, "look inside" and "get rid of one's attachments" are the two things Dafa practitioners should always keep in mind, but these principles are above those of everyday people and are not suitable for someone who is not practitioner. A person who does not practice Dafa can never fully and correctly understand the profound meaning of the Fa. But practitioners are still living in the human society and should abide with the principles in the human world. Among everyday people, beating and bullying others, torturing and persecuting good people are wrong deeds that are against the morality and law in society. A person in society should read books to become more knowledgeable, do exercises to improve health and not interfere with others. This is what Falun Gong practitioners are doing. We believe in "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance." There is nothing wrong with this. But the basic activities of such good people are banned in China. Practitioners are subjected to brutal persecution, and no word can describe the situation other than "evil."

The above is my analysis of many kinds of evil "enlightenment" of the Fa. The basic methods of those people who spread evil "enlightenment" are to quote out of context, misrepresent, extrapolate words from the Fa and wantonly explain them to support their own ridiculous theories. They label it as the Fa to deceive people. Actually they betray Dafa under the evil's control, and are not able to understand the real meaning of each word of the Fa. When we clearly see through it and expose their lies, we can break through their obstacles and be more determined in the path of our cultivation.

Of course, I have noticed some places that I could have improved over the past two years. Once, I said that I would not do the exercises in the cell when facing extremely painful torture; later I renounced this with my actions (I did exercises in the cell the next day to make up for that mistake). When I now look back, I realize that not everything I did in the forced labor camp was correct, based on the Fa. I still need to carefully think about this.

I hope all the kindhearted and righteous people can be fully aware of the brutal persecution of practitioners that is taking place in China, and condemn it, stop it and learn the truth about Falun Dafa.
