Ms. Wan Fengqin of Shandong province, approximately 36 years old, was illegally arrested by
policemen while distributing truth-clarification materials in a residential building near
Yuhuangding Hotel in Yantai City. (See previous report on Clearwisdom.net http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2003/2/11/31977.html) She was then sent to Nanjiao Detention Center in the Zhifu District of
Yantai City, where she was tortured to death around January 28, 2003. The perpetrators notified her
family only after the Spring Festival. Wang Fengqin's family members saw that her clothes were stuck
to her dead body and could not be removed. Her wrists showed clear marks from handcuffs. After
extorting 1,000 Yuan from her family, the authorities cremated her body.
