Abduction and Persecution of Shandong Province Dafa Practitioner Zhuang Qi's Wife and Daughter

(Clearwisdom.net) The persecution of Dafa practitioner Zhuang Qi was described in an article published on Clearwisdom on March 21, 2003: "Approximately 2,000 Dafa Practitioners Face Extreme Tortures in the Wangcun Labor Camp in Shandong Province" (http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2003/3/21/33583.html).

Zhuang Qi is a staff member, not a chauffeur as previously reported, in the special vehicle team for the Chunliang Oil Extraction Factory in the Shengli Oil Field, which is located in Boxing County, Shandong Province. Currently his family members are detained in a brainwashing center. Persons responsible for this illegal act are the leaders of the Chunliang Oil Extraction Factory and the Oil Field's "610 Office."* The details are as follows:

Dafa practitioner Luan Xiuhua is Zhuang Qi's wife, about 45 years old, and is unemployed. Zhuang Shan, Zhuang Qi's daughter, does not practice but supports her parents' practicing. She is about 20 years old and is unemployed.

Shortly before June 7, 2003, Zhang Tianwen, deputy instructor for the special vehicle team, had led some people to Luan Xiuhua's home twice to harass her but was denied entrance outside the door by the mother and daughter. Zhang Tianwen has held a grudge since then. On June 7, with the excuse of calling Luan Xiuhua to come to pick up the daily allocations, benefits that are given in the form of food and daily commodities, from the special vehicle team, Zhang Tianwen illegally detained Ms. Luan upon arrival. Later, Zhang Tianwen called her daughter Zhuang Shan and detained her, as well. After that, the mother and daughter were sent to the Shengli Oil Field brainwashing center. Luan Xiuhua has been on a hunger strike since she was sent into the center. Seeing her steadfastness, the criminals transferred her to the most vicious brainwashing center -- the brainwashing center for the "Oil Field Education Institute." It was heard that shortly after Zhuang Shan was arrested and taken to the brainwashing center, she was released because she was not a practitioner. However, she was so worried about her mother's safety that she refused to leave.

The persecutors from the special vehicle team headed by Zhang Tianwen have been acting without conscience. With Zhuang Qi's being illegally put into the labor camp, the family has lost their only source income. Luan Xiuhua was abducted into the brainwashing center for no reason at all.
