Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Zhaohong was an employee in the Irrigation Department of Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province. After the local "610 Office" (an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration

in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems) abducted him on May 12, 2003, they brutally beat and tortured him for refusing to renounce his practice of "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance." In order to appeal for his release, Liu has been on a hunger striker for more than 30 days. He is currently in a life-threatening situation! His physical health is so poor that neither the labor camp nor the detention center would accept him. However, not only did the "610 Office" refuse to release him, but they also wouldn't allow his family members to visit him. The "610 Office" recently sent Liu to the Zhangjiatun Brainwashing Center for another round of persecution.
