Dafa Practitioner Mr. Wu Haiyou Beaten to Death by Xipaotai Police

Clearwisdom.net has reported twice on the torture death of Dafa practitioner Wu Haiyou from Xinqiao Residential Area of Yantai City, Shandong Province:

http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2001/12/4/16491.html

Clearwisdom.net has obtained a more detailed account of this case.

At approximately midnight on November 15, 2001, Wu Haiyou, 50, was arrested at his home by a group of approximately six police officers from the Xipaotai Police Station in Yantai City. Neighbors overheard Wu being brutally beaten and pushed down the stairs during the arrest. They then saw Wu lying on the ground. His mouth was foaming with saliva and the police officers were standing around. Shortly after that, an ambulance arrived, and Wu was put on a stretcher and carried away.

At about 8.00 a.m. on November 20, 2001, Wu's family received a notice from the local police station asking them to identify a body. Lying at the morgue of Yuhuangding Hospital, Wu's face carried an expression of agony and distortion. His body was cold, and his mouth was covered with blood. While trying to change his clothes, a family member noticed bruises on his back. Also, a portion of his back was caved in over 2 inches, and the back of his head showed signs of severe impact by hard objects. During the viewing and cremation process about six police officers were on constant guard. Twice, when questioned by one of Wu's family members as to how Wu had died, the officers were evasive with their answers. Afterwards, the police officers were afraid, and they returned to the scene of the crime to make sure that all evidence regarding Wu's death was eliminated.

Ms. Wang Fengqin Tortured to Death in Nanjiao Detention Center

Clearwisdom.net reported on Ms. Wang Fengqin's death on February 22, 2003:

http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2003/2/22/32440.html

The following are further details regarding her case.

Ms. Wang Fengqin was 39 years old, and a former employee of the Haizao Company. She lived at No. 5 Xingfu Village, but later moved to Yanqiang Glass Factory dorm. On January 25, 2003, Wang left home but did not return. On February 7, 2003, about seven days after the Chinese spring festival, police informed the family that she had died from a heart attack, and asked her family to identify the body (all cases of death from torture are commonly reported as either heart attacks or suicides). At the morgue there was a temporary hut set up for the cremation where the family identified the frozen body of Wang. They were shocked by the agonizing expression left on Wang's face. Her mouth was open, arms apart, and she was without shoes. Her feather overcoat was nowhere to be found, and she was wearing underwear that clung to her blood stained body. Her entire body was covered with dark bruises. It was frightening.
