Self-Employed Businessman Learns Falun Dafa

Somewhere in Jilin Province, there was a young person named Xiao Tian (a pseudonym to protect from retaliation). He was a very successful self-employed businessman. He had fixed assets worth close to a hundred thousand Yuan and he is also a very honest, kind and renowned person in the local community. His wife practiced Falun Dafa. After watching his wife's body and mind change over the last couple of years, and witnessing practitioners' righteous behavior and miraculous things manifested by Dafa, he went from doubting Falun Dafa to partially believing in Dafa; then he gradually became a Dafa practitioner.

At the end of 2000, his wife and other practitioners went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and they were all illegally detained in the Beijing office of the local government. The police and local personnel ordered him to pay them money in order to release his wife. After arriving in Beijing and facing this unreasonable request for money from police, he righteously rejected harassment and asked those police: "My wife wanted to be a good person, so why did you detain my wife here? And based on which law do I have to give you money?" Under his questioning, the police did not know how to reply; therefore his wife was released at that time.

Xiao Tian and his wife did not go back to their hometown immediately. He went back to the Beijing office of their local government and asked the police who were in charge of this matter to release those illegally detained practitioners who came with his wife to appeal. The police knew that they were being unreasonable and that they had no legal basis upon which to detain practitioners; therefore, those practitioners were also released.

After Xiao Tian and his wife came back to their hometown, local bad people immediately came to their home because they planned to force practitioners who went to Beijing to appeal as well as determined practitioners, to attend a brainwashing program. The bad people knew that he was a wealthy person and planned to persecute him by finding ways to take his money. Therefore his wife was the first person who was detained at the brainwashing program. After learning of the situation, he immediately located the head of the "610 Office" and exposed their illegal plan and said their actions were against the law. He also told them, "My wife originally practiced the exercises at home. If you guys did not start persecuting Falun Dafa, then they would not have had to go to Beijing to appeal. Release my wife quickly. I will not pay you guys a single penny."

Under Xian Tian and other practitioners' righteous objections, the brainwashing program was ended early.

Over the last few years, Xiao Tian has protected and helped a lot of practitioners. Locally, a village leader had persecuted an elder practitioner to death and he also took advantage of a lot of people, had a very bad reputation and was involved in a lot of corruption and bribery. After Xiao Tian learned of the situation, he immediately reported him to the department in charge of corruption and a couple of days later, the village leader was placed under investigation and now is going to be punished by law. Xiao Tian's actions were praised by a lot of local people.

Manifesting the Miracle of Dafa, Xiao Tian Learned Falun Dafa and Started to Send Forth Righteous Thoughts

Since Xiao Tian learned more and more about Dafa day after day, his wife and other practitioners advised him to learn to practice Falun Dafa. But he always laughed and said maybe it is not time yet.

On day in the summer of 2004, there were more than thirty practitioners holding an experience-sharing at a traditional private location. There were heavy rains at that time and the gate was closed very tightly and firmly. When Xiao Tian learned it was not convenient for practitioners to go out to get food, he drove his own car from his home, bought a lot of food and planned to deliver lunch to everyone at that location. When he drove his car up to the gate, suddenly and automatically opened by itself. After he experienced this miraculous event, he was very excited and told everyone: "I knew Dafa is good, but I did not realize that it is also so miraculous. After today's experience, I really believe in Falun Dafa."

Finally, Xiao Tian started practicing Falun Dafa and at 12:00 p.m. sharp that day, he sat in the meditation position and sent forth righteous thoughts with all the practitioners in the experience-sharing conference.
