Persecution Cases of Several Practitioners in Langcang County, Yunnan Province

(Clearwisdom.net) The following are some persecution cases against Falun Gong practitioners in Langcang County, Yunnan Province:

Mr. Hu Bingqing, retiree from a rural veterinary station, persisted in cultivating Falun Gong and clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to people. For that, his residence was ransacked and his belongings were confiscated. In December 2000, he was sent to Kunming City Brainwashing Class. In the morning of June 11, 2001, he was illegally arrested again and sentenced to two years of forced labor. The persecution led to the relapse of his old illnesses, and he is now in the hospital on bail. Hu Bingqing's pay has been denied for more than two years.

Ms. Zhang Ling, Hu Bingqing's wife, had been a worker at the county food factory and was arrested the same day as Hu Bingqing. She was illegally sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor. She was physically abused and released after serving an extended term.

Ms. Lu Kaihui, a laid-off worker, was forcibly sent to the Kunming Brainwashing Class in December 2000 for persisting in cultivating in Falun Gong. On June 11, 2001 she was again arrested and sentenced to two years of forced labor. After being tortured, she had a relapse of her old illness and is currently in critical condition.

Ms. Wang Yanhong, a villager from Dashuijing Township, persisted in cultivating Falun Gong and clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to people. As a result she was arrested and sentenced to two years of forced labor on June 11, 2001. Her family was broken apart, and she was released after serving an extended term.

Mr. Wang Yanhui, farmer, was arrested and illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor for persisting in cultivating Falun Dafa. He was released after serving an extended term.

Mr. Li Xianze, 65 years old, persisted in cultivating Falun Gong and clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to people. He was arrested and sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor on June 11, 2001. He was released after serving an extended term.

Mr. Xie Hongyu, resident of Mojiang County, was an outstanding student at the Shijiazhuang Science and Technology University. Since he persisted in practicing Falun Gong, he was expelled from school. In December 2000, he was forcibly sent to the Kunming Brainwashing Class. Traumatized by the persecution he suffered, Mr. Xie became mentally unstable. He was later hit and killed by a speeding car.
